On tap at hotd. Colour...light straw with a thin white head. Nose...quite squash-like with bits of spice and yeast. Palate....lightly frothy with grain up front and squash all around the palate. The grain lingers across mid palate and there almost an anise like flavour now and then.

Had on draft at the brewery. Belgian hop aroma, estery, sweet pilsner malt. This is very drinkable, the sweet malts work well the yeast character, bready. This may be too drinkable.

1/15/2012. On tap at the brewery in Portland. Cloudy golden yellow with a white head. Fruity and malty aromas with spicy notes. Very interesting brew and quite delicious.

Draft motherfucker. I knew I wouldn’t want to drink this after a few sips, that’s why I bought an entire glass full. It tastes like peach juice except at the very end, there’s a hint of throw up, reminding me that its not peach juice. Fruity & weird and the finish is less than enjoyable but I am drinking it because I’m cool.

Super hazy, funky light brown and gold coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of mild squash and malts coming through with very little else, perhaps some sugar. Light-bodied; Strong squash and honey flavour up front with some lighter nuts and a bit of caramel. Light aftertaste with some earth, light squash and a mild sweetness. Overall, nice to try - very light and worth tasting, but not exceptional. A good alternative to some of the higher octane beers from the brewery! I sampled this pint on draught at the brewpub in Portland, Oregon on 25-April for US$4.50.

2007 Vintage on tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy mud brown color with no head at all. I've not tasted the regular Greg for comparison. Lovely balance of sweetness and malt.

TAR (2761) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Draught at Hair of the Dog, circa 2008: Misty honeyed-copper. Tight and creamy head slowly diminishes. Muddled but intriguing nose of butter toffee, dried apples, vanilla taffy, leather, and caramelized sugar. Soft pinpricks of scant carbonation. Dense honey-packed sweetness unites with copious amounts of brown sugar, though the sugars are kept in check by a light leathery astringency and squash-derived starches. A date and baked yam sweetness renders the core fairly flabby. Squash generates a quite vibrant toasted-nut dimension. Malt sweetness is seamlessly integrated with the teasing sugars provided by the squash. Finishes pleasantly soft yet with a firm dose of minerals which slices the malt and squash beefiness. It does exhibit good malt persistence and depth, though it does suffer from excessive sweetness at times. But no doubt a fun creation that proves to be more than a novelty.

Cloudy orange and a soapy white head. Sweet bread, some biscuit, and a bit of a butternut squash note. Pumpkin, a hint of spice, some yeast, and maybe some tea. Nice sweet flavor that is mostly bread, biscuit, and toast. A bit of toast. Nice sweet and earthy squash notes, light yeast, and hints of spice.

On tap, orange color with some frothing foam, aroma and flavor has strong vegetal squash note but not off putting, celery stalk, parsley, nice finish
