2012 vintage drunk on 11/22/13. A nice Flanders Red but didn’t blow me away like I had hoped it would. Has a typical Brett nose but lacks strong sour notes. The flavor also lacks in the sour department but does have noticeable barrel aged oakiness to it that isn’t overwhelming. Overall a pleasant wild but not a sour that can be compared to their neighbors at Cascade.
Bottle at Hair of the Dog. Copper color, white head. Sour taste with ripe fruits, raspberry, tart, wheat, yeast and citrus, Sour finish with citrus, tart, ripe fruits, wheat, raspberry and grass. Very nice sour red. hackobock (4073) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 14, 2016

@ Hair of the dog 16-3-9: Flaska från 2009. Tydlig syrlighet, lite smör, röda bär. Inte bäst helt ok. Heather_B (256) - New Hampshire, USA - DEC 29, 2015
This smells pretty good - some dark fruit and wood. The problem is the flavor - moldy cherries, caramel, just... old. Not good overall. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - NOV 17, 2015
deep and rich. Lightly tart, like a heavily aged belgium oud bruin. Tons of black cherry, spices, vanilla, and oak flavors. Finish is tart cherries BiiruBierBeer (1059) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Sour red smell. Pretty general mild sour red taste with a definitive malt character. Medium body, low carbonation, and no foam. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 14, 2015
Bottle. Pours a hazy light brownish beer with a tiny indescribable head on top. Aroma is tarty, oaky, fruity. Flavour is light tart, loads of oak and red fruits in there. Very dry mouthfeel, no carbonation. Aftertaste is long and light tart. Decent stuff.
