First rate, cool. Tap at the brewery. Pours a shade darker and oranger than regular Fred. Flat looking, not much or no head. Peach pulp settled at the bottom. Aroma at first is straight bourbon. Nice but pretty much indistinguishable from Bourbon Fred. I think I get some fruitiness but might be placebo. As this warms the fruity peach aspects deepen and peaches are definitely there. Flavor is soft, fruity, low carbonation and smooth. Peach and bourbon both there. The fruitiness might cover up some complexities but this is super drinkable and about as sessionable as it gets for 10%+ bourbon barrel stuff.
Cloudy orangish pour with no head at all. Aroma is boozy, lots of bourbon and a hint of peach. Taste is sweet and boozy with loads of bourbon character. Candied sugar really washes over you. Light bodied. Really intense beer. It does leave you wanting another sip though, the flavor is just a bit intense. drfabulous (8813) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 16, 2017
Draught at brewery. Sweet and sticky and boozy with a lot of peach pieces floating around. Defreni (3325) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2016
Fad: Så ved man man er på Mikkellers når prisen er 100 kr forlidt mindreend20 cl øl. Men hvad kan man gøre når HotD nu er en af ynglingsbryggerierne. Ravbrunt uigennemsigtig øl .Næsten over i porter. Duften er ekstrem whisky, ikke megen fersken her. Lidt for varm i smagen med en dominerende skarphed fra alkoholen. Ikke en så fantastisk øl. Tap. Slightly hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of dried fruit, peach, brown sugar, vanilla, wood and bourbon. Sweet flavor that ends up dry with bitter notes. Medium bodied. oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Barley. neongolden (2005) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 26, 2016
(On tap @ Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, Oct 23 2016) Pours a hazy caramel colour with a relatively large but rapidly fading whitish head, the last of the keg. Aroma is quite sweet and dominated by a toffee/brown sugar character, dried fruit, woody, a spirit note but not heavy bourbon, alcohol, peach character in the background a bit. Flavour is again sweet overall with a brown sugar malt backbone, wood, light bourbon and vanilla, dried fruit, peach cobbler in the background. Finishes pretty hot with lingering sweetness, subtle peach, wood and alcohol. Medium bodied, slightly syrupy, with low carbonation. I had hoped for more peach here, the boozy character and sweetness kind of overwhelmed the addition.
