UPDATED: NOV 21, 2011 I guess the story with "Sherry Adam" is that it was a batch of Adam aged in the same sherry barrels as Cherry Adam sans the cherries. So it’s not a true cherry aged Adam.
On tap at Bailey’s Taproom... Poured near black with a thin, beige head. Aroma of rich grains, wine-like alcohol tones and a mild fruit quality. Thick palate and delicately carbonated to offer a subtle, soft feeling on the tongue which countered the big, smoked, boozy characters. Pretty hot with a nice warming aspect towards the end. A mild cherry character -- still had the cherry essence from those sherry barrels. The sweetness then gave way to a vibrant vanilla flavor before the boozy, slightly wine/sherry-like, and smoked-oaky finish.
