If not for the immense amount of booze showing in this, it would be an all time favorite. The fruit and brandy play off each other very well, and it’s insanely complex...just a little too hot for it’s on good. Coolness factor is off the charts. Wonderful sipper. Very very good, just could have been epic at a little lower abv."

On tap at HOTD. Colour...cloudy brown-amber with no head at all. Nose...dark raisins, dates, fig paste and dehydrated strawberries. Palate...old strawberries up front, then Bourbon notes and oaky tannins that blend with raisins and figs. I don’t get much strawberry on the finish, but still a dandy brew. douglas88 (9192) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 15, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper color with a small white head. A big berry nose with grapes and wood. The flavor is hot brandy barrel, some oak, sweet candy, deep malty fruity esters. The strawberries are pretty big. I liked this a lot, very well made, harmonious. XaenDovet (1282) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 14, 2014
On tap at brewery. Pours very murky orange/red/brown, a bunch of sediment, and suspended fruit fibre, no cap. Aroma of strawberry, seed, a lot of brandy, wood. Taste is tart and sweet. Medium carbonation. Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Draft at HOTD. Pours murky burnt copper with minimal head. Aroma: Fred + loads of caramelized brown sugar, strawberry present as well but gets lost in the brown sugar. Taste: Loads of brown sugar; strawberry adds some sweetness, but also adds some tannic character as well. Full body, gentle (but present) carbonation, thick.
