light very sweet caramel on the nose. Dark ruby burgundy with no head. sweet sweet caramell bockishness that finishes in an intense cherry sugary sweetness. very sweet example of the style daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2003
Bright dark brown color. Slightly sweet organic malty presence in the nose with a touch of light chocolate present. Body starts with a short malty sweetness and quickly moves to overriding piney hops. Not a great example, needs a thicker, more robust maltiness to stand up to the big boys of the style. Never noticed that alcohol presence now that I see what it is. hennes (934) - Fountain, Michigan, USA - MAY 29, 2002
Weird. But I’d come to expect that at this point. The brewery is in a hot tub rental place, of all things, with a thick, humid, chlorine feel and a very fun crowd. Anyway, this is a strange, burnt belgian sugar of a bock.
