2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into red wine glass (all they had) at an Ethiopian restaurant (Addis) in Richmond, VA. Sweet and raisiny aroma. Appearance is amber prune juice. Head is flimsy and dissipates rapidly with no lacing. Taste...well, it’s not a stout, so if I look at it like a stout, it sucks. It’s a prune/fig/raisin/vinegar flavor with a lousy finish. I rarely write these words, but it’s not worth finishing. I will leave it behind. Overall I would not have bought it except it was a beer I hadn’t tried before.
Not a stout but really a dark lager. Only had in draft in Ethiopia where it takes a welcome change from standard pilsner-type beers. Often known locally as Obama. shigadeyo (3759) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2015
Caramel and toffee malts, a touch of milk chocolate in the aroma; brown color, small tan head; lots of caramelized malt flavors, including demura sugar, molasses, hints of anise; medium body, smooth; I think this is my first Ethiopian beer and I really like this for what it is... Not quute stout, but lots of interesting malty flavors. beastiefan2k (4033) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUL 3, 2015
Bottle at Ethiopian restaurant. Hmmmm, super brown copper color. Pukey caramel sweet malts. Same as the amber beer. Manslow (1770) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAY 5, 2015

Perhaps this is an unfair rating, but I was just remembering that i used to always get this at the Ethiopian restaurant near my house and thought it was interesting if nothing else. They don’t carry it anymore, and this rating doesn’t say anything of interesting, but its a pretty decent beer for y’know...ethiopia.

Dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, süß, harzig, Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, harzig, muffig. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Poured from bottle, pours more of a dark amber brown than anything, wouldn’t think stout just looking at in in a glass, the aroma is of sweet malt and roast, the flavor is pretty weak, some sweetness at first with an off finish, metallic almost, meh. pictoman (1172) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 19, 2013
Poured from 330mL bottle. Clear mahogany brown with dissipating beige head. Sweet malt, molasses, dates on the aroma. Caramel and dark fruit flavour with molasses. Very light watery body. Should not be called a stout. connoisseur1 (1) - - AUG 27, 2013 does not count
This is honestly, my favorite beer I have ever tried. I travel internationally 9 months of the year and have gotten into the habit of trying local beers everywhere I go. Yes, I have even been to Ethiopia. I was so excited to find the Ethiopian restaurant near my home carries it. It is truly fabulous. Every friend I have brought to try this beer love it. It has a very special, unique taste, unlike any other beer. If you are really into beer, you may not appreciate its taste. If its hard for you to find a beer you love, then you’re going to dig this beer! REally, the best I’ve had, anywhere in the world. Its special! Holmen1 (6142) - Stavanger, NORWAY - AUG 17, 2013
Flaske jeg fikk gratis på Delirium, utgått på dato: kortvarig skum, og smaker som tynn, dårlig solbærsaft.
