Can from Odawara. Drank from the can. Bready grain with a bit of sweetness on the palate. Good carbonation and well-balanced, but the hops seemed a tad muted. Finish has some light bitterness.

On tap at the brewerys cafe in Kazamatsuri. Part of the 800 yen tasting set. 5.5% A clear straw gold with a foamy white head, the nose reminds me a bit of that maltiness of a Bud but cleaner with a bit of a floral hoppiness to it. The taste is quite full bodied for a pils, malty with a crisp dry hop finish. That earthy malt flavor isnt my bag but its quickly replaced with a clean bitterness & a sweet aftertaste. Tasty.

Large creamy head, golden amber body. Little bready nose. Caramel candy flavor, then light mix of sweetness/spicyness. Quite pleasant little pils for the summer.

Tap at the fish market. Golden clear, white bubbly head. Aroma is slightly creamy, grainy, slight malt sweetness. Taste is floury, slight fruity sweetness, touch of caramel. Slight bitterness. Ok. Not exciting, but nothing wrong with it.

Well made pils. Reasonably bitter - but not too grassy. An emphasis on full bodied drinkability. Decent carbonation with a nice, medium contential hop finish.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2012 On tap at Hakone Brewery cafe/shop. Clear amber lager with a thin white head. Nose is barley grain malt, cereal, touch of lactic in their too. Taste is dry grassy, straw. Good flavoursome pilsener. Took a can/bottle from the brewery and it had a very distinctive saison farmyard yeast aroma and taste. This yeast seems to become too distinctive and strong when canned.

Bottle. Clear golden, small white head. Predominantly malty nose. Flavours display corn notes and are quite sweet. Good body, though. A boring lager that does the brewery no good in my eyes.

Clear light yellow color with a small to average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, fruity, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20100110]

Bottled. A slightly hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and a bit of perfume. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and a bit of citrus, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.
