Hazy amber color, medium sized head. A good American Barley Wine, as it’s well malty, noticeable from the moment you pour; sweet, rich, with nice hopping, lowering bitterness, but still good fruits and hop resins.
Very good, but probably not fresh.
On tap at Bottleworks, pours orangey amber with a white head. Wonderful aroma of piney hops, caramel malts (just enough to balance), grapefruit and mango. The flavour is no less hoppy, with citrusy hops, balanced perfectly with caramel malts. The palate is fruity and leaves a sweet caramel finish. Delicious - really well-made. Bottle - Sweet earthy hops and caramel. Dirty gold with a decent off white head. Sweet caramel and bitter hops with a long sweet bitter finish. Not bad.

Bomber from Bottle Trek. Hazy red tinged amber color with minimal beige ring. Aroma seems to be hugely grapefruit, but there is a hint of malt. Medium body with rather creamy carbonation. It’s mostly hop over a little roasted caramel. Pretty much grapefruit rind with some floral aspects. Finish is pretty dry, but there’s still enough sugar to call it balanced - maybe. Pretty hoppy brew. Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUN 23, 2008
Bomber poured a clear copper with a small lingering light amber head. Aromas of earthiness, carmel, pine, orange peel, mango and grapefruit rind. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, orange peel, mango, light pine and a hint of grapefruit rind with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 8, 2004
Amaziung IIPA considering I was’nt that impressed with Mongoose.
Hazed amber with minimal off-white head. Aroma is quite sweet, grapefruit/orange, alcohol, barleywinish. Taste is much the same, malty barleywine. Full sticky body. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - FEB 25, 2005

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear deep amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of hops, fruit and sweet malt. Medium to full body with flavors of floral hops, earthy malt and fruit. The finish is hoppy with a short citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
