2014 bottle, expiration date: 12/18/14, I am guessing that is 3 months out, so this is 2 weeks old. Medium head, leads to medium lacing Dark orange color, glowing in the light. Aroma is some caramel, some orange hops, some fruit yeast aspects, some light green grass aspects, and dusty yeastiness. A real mix of British style in a PNW brewery and a bit too much caramel. Mouthfeel has a bit of sparkle before the same flavors as aroma. Maybe a bit of rye spice at the end as well, but there is a lot of stuff going on and its not really my bag.
Pours a rich amber color with decent off-white head. Mild aroma of fruitcake. Taste is sweet and malty with hints of caramel and candied fruit but with a surprisingly long and barely noticeable bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very drinkable.

Nitro at Buckley’s on Queen Anne. Clear amber pour with lasting foamy cream head. Not sure I’d call it lacing, but that foam sticks all over the glass. Generously resinous hoppy aroma. Also toast, biscuit, grass and a shade of caramel. Taste: malty without being particularly sweet, followed by an assertively bitter finish. Is there such thing as an amber ipa? Medium body, creamy smooth texture. Overall: solid hoppy amber. Hale’s might not make the sexiest beers, but they make some very nice ones -- I should drink more of them. Bottle to glass. Medium, opaque amber color. Medium carbonation. Light fragrance. A bitter nutty ale finish that doesn't linger long. Good!

Pours amber orange with a small off white head. Aroma is herbal, earthy and pine. Taste is sweet with some tart undertones. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. I am surprised this is not an IPA, very similar flavor profile. Patrickctenchi (6592) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Very cloudy amber with a whipped tan head.
Aroma is herbal, hoppy, a hint of fruit.
Taste is malty, bitter herbal/earthy hops.
Orange and caramel...
Very good, but....I think I’d call it an APA, at least. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - DEC 3, 2013
Bottle. Buttery caramel malt and earthy/herbal orange hops aroma. Amber with a small ivory head. Bready caramel malt, orange peel and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Christpuncher (3135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 2, 2013
One of the better seasonal beers I have had. Super hoppy and really bitter. I would say it is more an ipa than anything else. Smells hoppy an has a bitter finish.

Bottle, via Beer Boxer. Pours a dark opaque deep reddish orange amber color with a very small head. Nose is citrus and bitter with some pine and resin. Taste is bitter with some citrus and subtle sweetness. Drinkable , but not earth shattering.Finish is bitter as well, and ends on the sour citrus resin notes. Quaff Score 7 / 10
