12oz can picked up at Total Wine
Cloudy golden with a big off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is floral, dusty and herbal. Flavors are herbal, earthy and lemon peel
Ok but I wouldn’t have another one.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, grapefruit, flowers), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Very straightforward and basic. A bit too sweet.

Bottled. Poured medium ambery-golden with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up toasty pale malts with accents of honey, pine, and a touch of cardboard. The flavor was a little tart on the fore with fruity character and piney bitterness present.. pale, rather generic base to it.. spicy and bitter again on the back-end, showcasing pine and earthy hoppage. Light-medium bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. nice and bitter for an APA, but not all that enjoyable.

12oz can. Clear amber color with ivory head. Polycarbonate, astringent tea leaf aromas. Medium bodied with average co2. Pale malt, polycarbonate, mild floral, bready yeasty flavors____less than good

Bottle pours golden, slight haze, small fizzly white head, lively carbonation, with spotty lacing.   Malt, grains, and cereal aroma, with a hint of wet dog.   Malty, a touch sour, with some subtle fruity flavor.   Medium body and mouthfeel.   Finishes quick, semi-sweet, lingering malts.   Decent, but not very crisp or hop oriented as I would have liked.

Patrickctenchi (6690) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 4, 2013
Bottle: Pours hazy, amber-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Scent is orange malt, fruit. Taste is caramel, orange-peel, citrus, malt. Nice mild bittering. Very good.

Tap. Pours a clear orangish copper body with a small foamy off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is piney and citrusy hops with some caramel malt, but it’s not overly sweet smelling. The flavor is lightly bitter with some floral and tropical hops. Fairly light bodied, but not in a bad way. Some lingering passionfruit on the back end. Really pretty nice and refreshing. Just the right amount of hops to keep the sweetness in check. Nice sessionable Pale Ale.

12oz bottle in Seattle. Solid nw-style pale, mild hops by today’s standard. But sweet and tasty

I get the impression that this was pretty much the workhorse pale in the Seattle area. Whenever we went to eat at a place that wasn’t spefically beer-centric, I could always count on finding either this or Manny’s Pale Ale. At any rate, its a pretty good go-to beer, nicely hoppy and not to filling. I liked it.
