Possessing a delicate balance of malt and hop flavors and embellished by the distinctive fruitiness of our special ale yeast, Hale’s Pale Ale is flavorful and easy to drink.

Okay here is my 5 star rating, with one caveat. They made a limited release 20th Anniversary Pale that was without peer. By far the best ale Hales has ever produced. I want it all the time! It has come and gone but the memory of it lingers. I don’t know if they will ever recreate it but I sure wish they would. That said the Pale Ale is a great session beer that stands on its own.

12 oz can, gift by luttonm. Not sure if he thought the gift was him giving the can, or me taking the can off his hands. Either way, I got a beer in my hand, I’m happy. A golden, hazy pour with a full foam cloud cover head. Juicy and hoppy, bright aroma. Flavor is creamy, a bit juicy, solid hop profile. No real bitterness noticeable througout. Drinks easy. Always nice to see a beer that’s been around since years before I was, and still on the shelves today. A good beer to keep a few ice cold, and enjoy, while taking in some ball games. Seems fitting anyway.

Can at home. Aroma is earthy hops, malt, some caramel, citrus, orange, mild fruity, touch of toffee. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. Nice and easy old school APA with tasty citrussy hops and a caramel malt backbone.

Rating #1999 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 101 – Draught at taproom/brewpub. Golden amber pour with a creamy white head that bubbles away quickly. Hops very fragrant with mild citrus in the aroma. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium carbonation, and bitter hops on the finish - but not overpowering, very balanced. Delicious.
