First beer I have opened and poured down the drain after a couple of sips. I like hoppy beers and I like ambers, but this was neither. The bitterness was so overwhelming that is was hard to taste much else. muteprint (176) - Olympia, Washington, USA - AUG 17, 2010

Deep reddish-amber color with a thin tan head. Good lacing. Hops and malt on the nose. Bigger than what I was expecting....good hop flavor (grapefruit and pine) mixed with nice sweet caramel malt tones. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 13, 2010

Pours a medium amber/brown color. Aromas of caramel malts, minor hops, and a touch of wood. Flavor is burnt caramel, fruit and a smooth roast finish. lukeherinckx (134) - mount pleasant, South Carolina, USA - MAR 7, 2010
Big hoppy, malty aroma. Dark amber color with a short lived off white head. middle of the road maltiness and a slight hoppiness. not much of a finish either. very middle of the road esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Hazy reddish amber with a medium slowly disappearing tan topper and spotty lacing. Aroma of grains, mild hops and caramel. Starts out malty and finishes hoppy with caramel and mild citrus. Mild bitter finish on this middle of the road amber ale in a style that I’m a wee bit tired of. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 1, 2010
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Brennan’s Country Farm Market in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear copper brown colored brew with an average sized off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, a hint of flowery hops, roasted nuts and a touch of fruit. Taste is medium to full bodied, flavors of toasted caramel malt, bitter grassy hops, and peanut skin. Finish is dry with a mild bitterness and light toasted caramel malt that slowly disappears. phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 13, 2009
Nice beer, however I’m docking it points because half of it overflowed itself out of the bottle for a good solid 5 minutes. Once the smoke cleared it had a substantial amount of body. Fresh and fruity, particularly apples and some pear. Caramel, biscuit and cinnamon flavours. Aroma has some spices and definately hops all the way through. I’d like to try it again next time when it doesn’t explode out of the bottle.
