355ml bottle. Dark amber pour, aroma is mediciney berry. Flavor is melon rind, fruity, finishing booziness and maltiness. Huge meh.
Post tasting thoughts:
You don’t know whether these idiots are making a joke here or are supporting communists, damn you pnw...
Slightly hoppy and a little bitter after taste. Not really the style I like for a red ale

Rating #2002- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 104 - Draught at Taproom Pours a ruby amber with a white cap that recedes to a ring. Aroma has a hint of malty sweetness, and a strong citrus/floral hoppy aroma. Medium carbonation. Bubbly, dry mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Light bitterness in the finish, quite smooth. Hoppy punch and a marbley-malty sweet note. Very nice. j12601 (13472) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear browned amber with a thin white head. Soft malt, a touch of toast on the nose. Medium bodied, soft toast, a touch of malt, very light hops. Gentle malt and toast into the finish, soft bitterness. Crisp, easy, clean.

Tap. Pours a clear dark copper body with a one finger foamy white head that left some nice lace. The nose has a bit of crystal malt under the toasty and lightly husky malt. A minimal touch of floral hoppiness. The flavor is on the sweeter side with the crystal, but not crazy. Toasty and husky, minimal citrusy hops on the finish. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. A touch sticky on the back end. About on par with most other Ambers, maybe a touch hoppier than most though. Bottle. Orange-tinted gold, average white head. Bready malt, caramel with fruity undertones. Watery and bland. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is of stale grass and toasted caramel. Taste is slightly bitter, but has some sweeter and bready malts coming through. Unremarkable for me at all. beastiefan2k (4235) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - MAR 6, 2015
12oz bottle, stamped BB 5.22.15. Interesting a 9 ibu amber, so a non hop-centric Amber that isn’t supposed to be an Irish Ale, don’t see too many of those. I guess that would be an English take on an Amber. Also, 4.8 abv, 9 ibu beer that is a "Big" Amber, what? Either way, pours a clear orange/copper body, completely clear throughout, must be filtered. Small head but leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is some fruity hops, surprisingly. Looks like its mostly (if not all) super late additions. Then slightly fruit yeast. Has a fruity tropical thang going on but not overly hop-centric or yeast centric. Weird and interesting. Flavor is... surprising. At first, I am all like, what happened. A fruity malt biscuit flavor starts and then abruptly ends. Then a hoppy and de-bittered flavor. Ends light yet slightly stick. I eventually realize this is an Americanized mild with hops but no bitterness. That makes me really appreciate the beer. I like it more than the score I am giving it. mcberko (20268) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
On tap at Hale’s, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out gentle bready malts with a subtle hop component - pretty bland and lifeless though. Flavour is about the same, bringing out bready caramel malts balanced with fruity hops. Not a whole lot to this, but it’s balanced decently enough. Okay, but not my thing.
