3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Fritz European Fry House in Bremerton, Washington, 16 ounces, served in shaker glass, $3.50 per pint.
I assume that Supergoose refers to this being a hopped-up version of Hale’s Mongoose IPA, which, as far as I can tell, appears to be true.
Color: Hazy orange core with a hazy yellow-orange aura, topped with a thin white head. Small dots and lines of lacing are left behind.
Nose: I smell, in this order: a can of pineapple chunks, apricot, and a whiff of citrus.
Palate: The flavors include bitter orange that borders on grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and a hint of hay. The heavy bitterness lingers in the finish. The fruit sweetness is almost too much, but it actually complemented the dipping sauces for my fries rather well. The spiciness of the Spicy Curry Ketchup and Sweet Chili sauces toned down the sweetness of this ale and really let the hoppy bitterness shine through.

355ml can. Orange pour. Aroma is mild and fruity. Flavor is fruity, touch tropical, pithy bitter finish.
Post tasting thoughts:
Very par for the course ipa.
Can, Brewklopedia, Leicester. Hazy golden with a bubbly head. Toasted sweet biscuit malts with brown sugar. Dank pine and grass with pithy citrus. Bready with a spicy palate. Citrus bitterness to finish with underlying tropical sweetness on the finish. Nicely balanced. Theydon_Bois (19541) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2017

There is no chance that I have never had this beer. I know I’ve had it, and I can recall having it many times, so I was very surprised when I ripped this can open during the football games, and hopped on to see what I rated it, I had nothing to see. In that case, thanks for the can/new rate luttonm! Pours a thick, glowing orange, with moderate sediment, and a thick foam head and lacing. Juicy orange hop aroma. Flavor is steady hop bitterness, balanced with a rich malt bill. Pretty good IPA here. A classic IPA that I’m not surprised it has remained in bars all around Seattle as their IPA option. Has it’s slight flaws in my opinion, but as an overall, a solid IPA here. donandres (527) - Bayombong, PHILIPPINES - NOV 3, 2016

Draft. Pours clear gold with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like orange hops, grapefruit, resin, nutty and caramel malt. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like orange hops, grapefruit hops, resin, nutty, and caramel malt. JorgeLee (2117) - Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2016
Can, Beers of Europe, celebrating Alex Hales’ 171 vs. Pakistan. Quite a deep amber colour, curious bubbles, white foam. Crystal malts are strong in this one, sweet. Pine and citrus hops, quite bitter, not overly long finish. Not my preferred version of the style but decent nonetheless. tcon25 (849) - Duvall, Washington, USA - AUG 27, 2016
Stop #9 for the beat cup of chili at Mike’s chili. Had this beer a few times the only balird beer on tap. Dark amber pour, nice hop aroma, hoppy tast. this is a full pour it might take me over the top, we’ll see. bulldogops (2507) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 27, 2016
Rating #2005- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 107 - Draught at Taproom. Had cask conditioned side by side. Lots of peachy, grapefruity hops on the nose (guava-passion-mango juice) erupting from this foaming amber pour. Sharp hoppy overtones of citrusy, tropical sweetness pronounced into a firm bitterness, a balanced, crisp finish. Fantastic.
