By virtue of the 4 I gave the oakshire watershed IPA for appearance, i am forced to give this beer the same rating as it looks exactly the same. please refer to my rating of the former to see what i thought of the appearance. aroma: caramel, toast, resin, earthy. taste: heavy sweet, medium bitter, light sour, light salty, no umami. i think the ratebeer taste suggestions could be a little more varied. iím too far removed from rating to be able to identify flavors, not that i ever really was able to in the first place. body is the same as the last beer.

There is no chance that I have never had this beer. I know Iíve had it, and I can recall having it many times, so I was very surprised when I ripped this can open during the football games, and hopped on to see what I rated it, I had nothing to see. In that case, thanks for the can/new rate luttonm! Pours a thick, glowing orange, with moderate sediment, and a thick foam head and lacing. Juicy orange hop aroma. Flavor is steady hop bitterness, balanced with a rich malt bill. Pretty good IPA here. A classic IPA that Iím not surprised it has remained in bars all around Seattle as their IPA option. Has itís slight flaws in my opinion, but as an overall, a solid IPA here.

Draft. Pours clear gold with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like orange hops, grapefruit, resin, nutty and caramel malt. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like orange hops, grapefruit hops, resin, nutty, and caramel malt.

Can, Beers of Europe, celebrating Alex Halesí 171 vs. Pakistan. Quite a deep amber colour, curious bubbles, white foam. Crystal malts are strong in this one, sweet. Pine and citrus hops, quite bitter, not overly long finish. Not my preferred version of the style but decent nonetheless.

Rating #2005- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 107 - Draught at Taproom. Had cask conditioned side by side. Lots of peachy, grapefruity hops on the nose (guava-passion-mango juice) erupting from this foaming amber pour. Sharp hoppy overtones of citrusy, tropical sweetness pronounced into a firm bitterness, a balanced, crisp finish. Fantastic.

Can from Total Wine in Tukwilla. How old? Who knows? Maybe new, maybe years old. Though, I doubt its too old. Basically, this is what DIPA tasted like in the early 2000s and Haleís doesnít give a fuck. I guess super mongooseseses or mongoossi. Fortunately, the caramel malts arenít overly sweet and caramel and the bitterness isnít too high. Not my likes but within a doable range.

A 4 oz taster at Brewers by the Bay festival in Bellingham, WA. A pleasantly hopped IPA with a bit of malt for balance. 3.6

Supergoose pours with more head than Iíve come to expect from a 7.1% IPA, perhaps because of the higher malt content. Though thatís usually a turnoff to me, it balances out the plethora of hops pumped into this can of Heaven. From a smooth entry, you immediately get hit when a whollop of Bitter Hop that almost immediately gets calmed by the malt. Finishing neutral, youíre left demanding another sip to see if you can count the flavors as they flow over your taste buds. Excellent, albeit non-classical IPA.
