On nitro tap at Hale’s, pours a dark amber brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is very subtle, with light notes of toasted malt - not much else. Flavour is pleasant, with notes of cocoa and light toasted malt - light-to-medium sweetness. Smooth palate from the nitro, but not terribly refined. Okay. Draft - Nitro - Dark roast and some chocolate. Deep brown with a rich creamy beige head. Light roast and chocolate notes. Creamy and nice mouthfeel, but pretty plane. furthur (1255) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - JAN 2, 2015
Sampler, clear almost opaque reddish black, nice walnut colored head, thick lace. Aroma faintly nutty and roasty. Taste malt and roast barley, nutty coffee, vanilla. Palate is a little light, carbonation subdued. Nice standard Porter. stevoj (5869) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Wow! On nitro at Bar Gernika. Dark brown with creamy beige head, lacing coats the glass. Dark peat and nuts, burnt toast. Mild but lasting bitterness. Excellent! fiulijn (21511) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 12, 2014

Dark brown color, near black, with compact head. Light aroma of roasted malt. Good body strength; soft mouthfeel; it has a moderate flavor of roasted malt and chocolate. Correct bitterness.
More Brown Ale than Porter, not enough round and chocolatey, but pleasant overall.
Off Draft at Hales brewery. Got 5 oz sample of this brew both nitro and regular. Rating is regular draft. Slight chocolate aroma, brown color. Sips full and mildly carbonated. Middle is slight dry and finishes mild cola sweetness with dark malt. Very easy drinking and enjoyable brew. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2013
On tap at post St ale house.
A: dark, dark beer with mocha foam atop which is persistent. Rings of lace.
S: nutty with slightly too much toasted character making it a little too dry.
T: malts are coffee like with a tad more bitter than I would prefer in this brew. A slightly astringent and almost sour character here.
M: full bodied with light carb and a semi slick finish.
O:. Not particularly enjoyable.
Serving type: on-tap

Fruity and floral notes grace the sweet chocolate aroma along with some light roast malt. Opaque brown body is topped by a decent, fine-bubbled, brown head that lasts well and leaves some lace. Rast and cholate play well with moderate bitterness. Medium body with pleasant strong effervescance. Shaker glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle. mattyhennessy (377) - Highton, AUSTRALIA - JUL 30, 2013
Pours dark brown wit a light tan head that holds well. Low in flavour but heavy bodied. Dark chocolate and vanilla with hints of nuts. A light porter that can be enjoyed in large volumes.
