Awesome! I don't normally like porters but this troll just helped me across the bridge. It has elements of a sour, a stout, and a porter - a great blend of styles.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a slightly smallish tan head on it. Nose is actually fairly light, but with some roasting to it. Taste is actually a little bitter from the hops, but has a decent amount of roastiness to it. Lighter than expected, but yummy. JStax (7307) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAY 12, 2013
22 ounce bottle. Pours a darker brown with a beige ring of foam. Aroma has notes of vanilla, nuts, and dark chocolate. Tastes mildly sweet and a little roast. Not my thing, I guess. JMCtime (83) - Washington, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Drinkable but nothing special. Not overly bitter, flavored or sweet just rather plain.

On tap at brewery. Black pour, with a nice nitro head. A very nice sweet porter. Smooth body and nice mouth-feel. Dogbrick (14292) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 19, 2012
Sample at the brewpub (as NighTroll Porter). The beer pours black with a medium thin creamy tan head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Medium body with flavors of black coffee, chocolate malt and a touch of hops. The finish is roasty with a short coffee aftertaste. Decent overall. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - APR 4, 2012
Had this on Nitro as NighTroll Porter. Black pour with the normal nitro look. Aroma is nice and roasty with some citrus in there as well. Taste of sweet cream and roast malt. Very mild beer, but good. troopie (2497) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAR 13, 2012
