Awesome! I don't normally like porters but this troll just helped me across the bridge. It has elements of a sour, a stout, and a porter - a great blend of styles.

Rating #2007- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 109 - Draught at Taproom. Had draught and nitro side by side. Opaque dark pour with a bubbly tan foam. Aroma is toffee, coffee, and dates. Mild-medium carbonation, medium bodied. Taste is quite complex, lots of roast malt character but tempered with cocoa vanilla sweetness.. Awesome brew. teamsale (273) - Washington, USA - JUN 29, 2016
On tap. Pours a coffee cola with a decent beige head and great lacing. Smells of coffee and malt but a bit sour. Taste is of malt, honey, coffee. Aftertaste is lingering with some lemon. j12601 (12700) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2016

Pours light for a porter, dark copper-brown. Sweet malt aroma, caramel / toffee, lighter on the chocolate and some roast. Nice rich body though, smooth and creamy. mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 11, 2015
Sadly see-through brownness. But, smells like delicious used chocolate coffee grounds. This would taste great as a hot beverage, like a chocolate tea. Well-roasted malt, perfect chocolate grains.

As "Troll Porter".
Sweet, light toffee taste. Toffee, dry aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Clear dark brownish red color, teal head. Sweet, roasted, malty, toffee scent.
Bomber. Clear deep dark ruby hued copper, lasting creamy tan foam. Roasty chocolate malty aroma. Taste is light roasted chocolate malt, some dark fruity hints, faint herbal citric hop. Average carbonation, medium bodied, low hopped. Nice warmer on a cool damp evening. NFL (Not For Lagerboys) DSG (14922) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 16, 2015
[3/3/15] Draught at Hales Ales Brewery & Pub in Seattle. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Roasty aroma with some coffee and chocolate. Roasty bittersweet flavor with coffee, chocolate and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. mcberko (18084) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
On nitro tap at Hale’s, pours a dark amber brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is very subtle, with light notes of toasted malt - not much else. Flavour is pleasant, with notes of cocoa and light toasted malt - light-to-medium sweetness. Smooth palate from the nitro, but not terribly refined. Okay. Draft - Nitro - Dark roast and some chocolate. Deep brown with a rich creamy beige head. Light roast and chocolate notes. Creamy and nice mouthfeel, but pretty plane.
