Awesome! I don't normally like porters but this troll just helped me across the bridge. It has elements of a sour, a stout, and a porter - a great blend of styles.

Pours a dense dark brown color w/ a shallow froth. Minimal residual lacing. Aroma of thick roasted malts and animal crackers. Full nectar w/ silky residual effers. Thick and malty w/ a defined roasty character. A mild sweetness is enjoyble. Flavors continue to develope while she warms. One distinct nuance is that of the dark part of the famous Oreo cookie. Roated coffee bean, ripe black cherries, leather, molases, cocoa, and a slab of meat. Damn, this stuff is thick. I can stand a spoon up in it. The cookie really comes out in the finish. The finish is long on flavor and bittered nicely w/ a mild sourng. I highly recommend his brew. Davhgbrew (948) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Off Draft at Hales brewery. Got 5 oz sample of this brew both nitro and regular. Rating is regular draft. Slight chocolate aroma, brown color. Sips full and mildly carbonated. Middle is slight dry and finishes mild cola sweetness with dark malt. Very easy drinking and enjoyable brew. turbo (1271) - Arizona, USA - DEC 23, 2007
Bottle poured black with a nice thick brown head with a nice sheet of lacing that coats the inside of my favorite glass.
Aroma and flavor of bitter, roasty malts, chocolate, coffee.
moderately sweet with a thin/ medium body. not bad at all with a lightly bitter finish and a good mouthfeel. jimhilt (2621) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 30, 2007
Pours a one finger light tan head that fades slowly to a ring leaving a good lace. Deep mahogany color. Light carbonation and heavy bodied. Roasted/burnt coffee nose. Flavor is roasted/burnt coffee, a little sweetness, smooth. Bakers chocolate aftertaste. $3.99 for a 22oz bottle from John’s Marketplace Portland, OR.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a slightly smallish tan head on it. Nose is actually fairly light, but with some roasting to it. Taste is actually a little bitter from the hops, but has a decent amount of roastiness to it. Lighter than expected, but yummy. stevoj (5434) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Wow! On nitro at Bar Gernika. Dark brown with creamy beige head, lacing coats the glass. Dark peat and nuts, burnt toast. Mild but lasting bitterness. Excellent! Hanratty (36) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 24, 2006

Dark brown color with a thin brown head This was a very thick and full of flavor porter. Deep dark chocolates and hints of spices and just a nice chewy porter. Not a drink with dinner beer this was for afterwards. This was great.
This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a semi-opaque no visible carbonation dark brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty roasted malt and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a biting malty aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of hops roasted malt and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.
