Bomber from West Lakeview Liquors. Very frothy golden pour, deep color that seems more handsome with the lively carbonation, giving it an earthy roil. Nose is very malt forward, with hints of dried flowers, mild citrus, and peppercorn. Mouthfeel is moderately prickly, with a hint of spice in the dry finish. Flavors are nice, if a bit more bready than I prefer in the style. I wish that the funk and the pepper were a bit more prominent, but this was a competent, enjoyable saison. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2011
bottle, thanks to exiled, yellow with white foam, a peachy grains aroma with a fizzy lemon and peach flavor Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2010
Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is yeast, wheat and some grain notes. I don’t get much fruit in the aroma which is a bit of a surprise. The flavor is better than the aroma. I get a lot of wheat and yeast notes, but I also get some tropical fruit notes. I get some pineapple, orange and mango. There is also a nice amount of white pepper in the aroma which compliments the fruit nicely. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not the best beer I have had from Half Acre, but a solid American-made saison. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2010

Bottle from a trade. Reminded me of Belgium. Nice yeast profile. Pours hazy yellow w/ pillowy head. Nice hop character, complements the malts. Overall a nice saison. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 25, 2010
22oz bottle purchased from the brewery and has been sitting in the fridge for a bit too long... pours like a golden lager of sorts, mostly transparent, with a medium frothy white head.... aroma of light fruity yeast, some lemon and orange citrus notes which eventually give way to grass and hay. smells pretty refreshing actually... flavors are light and refreshing with the aforementioned hints of citrus, a lighter banana and grains. a trace of tartness surfaces but then lead astray by its sweeter grainy qualities and texture. carbonation is semi-lively and body has enough to support the brew overall. not terribly complex but a pretty straightforward saison that is pretty quaffable. phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 11, 2010
22 oz. bottle from West Lakeview Liquors. Pours a hazy yellow-gold color with an inch-thick, fizzy bright white head. Aroma of straw, pale malts, farmhouse funk, pepper, dust, pineapple, and light citrus. Flavor of pale malts, straw, earth, pepper, dust, soda water, lemon citrus, wheat, and farmhouse funk. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a frothy, funky mouthfeel. Dry finish. Really nice saison, and hit the spot after a long night.
