Draft at Bainbridge Street Barrel House in Philadelphia, PA.
Pours a hazy dark golden amber color with tangerine edges and a two finger, frothy off-white head that very slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Really good retention with streaks and chunks of soapy lacing left behind.
There’s a stronger malt presence in the aroma than expected with lots of caramel sweetness, toffee, rye and biscuit along with subtle earthy and citrus hop notes. The nose is surprisingly lacking in hop character. Subtle floral and resinous pine presence but the malt notes overpower.
Full bodied and much more complex/hoppy than the aroma suggests. Dry bitterness up front with some resinous oils, pine needle and subtle citrus coutered by a strong malt backbone. Lots of carmael sweetness with toffee, rye, bread and biscuit. More dry bitterness in the finish. Not really like a pale ale at all. Decent hop flavor but not what I was expecting. tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - APR 22, 2015
Bottle. Pours cloudy orange/amber with an off-white head. Little retention/some lace. Aroma of biscuit, caramel, wood, a bit floral. Taste is bitter, biscuit/caramel malts, some citrus/floral hop. Palate is slick, bitter finish. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Sampled at 2011 RBWG. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. The nose is grassy hops, light cat pee and caramel malt. The taste is a bit of a let down with bitter hops and malt. Flat bodied. 3.4 PhillyCraft (8192) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Tap at Bainbridge, pours hazy orange with light head, sporadic lacing. Aromas and flavor of wood, wet hops, not much citrus or dankness. Disappointed in this one especially with the hop recipe. mikem409 (2032) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Tap. Pours orange with big white creamy head. Aroma is citrus and fruit salad. Taste is light refreshing easy to drink.

Draft at Prohibition. Pours a cloudy orangish amber with thin off-white head. Notes of onion, citrus, burnt caramel, grapefruit and lemon. Pretty light body but a tasty sessionable beer. Capa (3616) - DC, Washington DC, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Golden orange with a white head. Aroma was citrus and tropical fruits, light sweetness, floral notes. Medium thin body. Flavor was heavy on the hops with light malt backbone. Tropical and citrus fruit tones, floral, sweet candied malts. Love how much flavor is packed into the low abv. Delicious. brian60625 (756) - Illinois, USA - JAN 30, 2013
4 ounce taster at the tap room. Abundant citrus, tropical, grapefruit aroma. Inviting, bright orange appearance with a lot of air movement inside. Taste is very mild in comparison to the big nostril load it initially delivered. Lemon, floral, Sunkist candy. Citra hop bitterness. A wee bit watery and light bodied, which isn’t a surprise in light of the low abv, but it drags down my overall impression because the aroma had me anticipating something more bountiful. My suggestion is that you have this one early in your batting order for the night, because you may not taste it at all after your tongue is exposed to more imposing elements. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Dark orange pour at taproom. Smooth hoppy floral taste. Not overly hoppy. Good beer Christpuncher (3215) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Very golden orange in appearance and smooth to the taste. Not very bitter and goes down easy. One if their best
