Very golden orange in appearance and smooth to the taste. Not very bitter and goes down easy. One if their best

Draft at Bainbridge Street Barrel House in Philadelphia, PA.
Pours a hazy dark golden amber color with tangerine edges and a two finger, frothy off-white head that very slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Really good retention with streaks and chunks of soapy lacing left behind.
There’s a stronger malt presence in the aroma than expected with lots of caramel sweetness, toffee, rye and biscuit along with subtle earthy and citrus hop notes. The nose is surprisingly lacking in hop character. Subtle floral and resinous pine presence but the malt notes overpower.
Full bodied and much more complex/hoppy than the aroma suggests. Dry bitterness up front with some resinous oils, pine needle and subtle citrus coutered by a strong malt backbone. Lots of carmael sweetness with toffee, rye, bread and biscuit. More dry bitterness in the finish. Not really like a pale ale at all. Decent hop flavor but not what I was expecting. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 26, 2011
Growler. Seemed to be just a bit darker in color than daisy color, little more caramel looking. Great hop combination, super drinkable, lightly grainy, light biscuit sweetness, just very very refreshing, grassy and citusy. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Sampled at 2011 RBWG. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. The nose is grassy hops, light cat pee and caramel malt. The taste is a bit of a let down with bitter hops and malt. Flat bodied. 3.4 dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 3, 2012
(growler sent for RBWG by jcnd9803). Pours a hazy copper color with off-white head. Plenty of citrus here to go with a nice malt backbone. Pretty tasty beer and a pleasure to share this at a great event.

enjoyed during 2011 RBWG pours dirty blond with a medium off white head. Aroma is big citrus hops and grassy malts. Flavor is the same the hops in this are very nice, not your average pale ale, bordering on IPA. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2012
Growler pour. Pours a cloudy orange with a thin white head. Floral earthy and grapefruit aroma - stronger on the floral/earthy notes than anything else. Crisp hops minty and dry. Bitter crisp and really nice. Those citra hops are awesome. mikem409 (2029) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Tap. Pours orange with big white creamy head. Aroma is citrus and fruit salad. Taste is light refreshing easy to drink. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Purchased from Half Acre in growler form, enjoyed on New Years Eve at home. Appearance is a cloudy gold, slightly dark, with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is huge on the citrus hops, slight spice as well, can’t say there’s much other than hops in the aroma, but it smells pretty good! Definitely dry hopped. Taste is fantastic, goes down nice and smooth with a slight crispness mixed with the bitterness of the hops, slight sweet from citrus. This stuff is great, actually like it more than Daisy Cutter. tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - APR 22, 2015
Bottle. Pours cloudy orange/amber with an off-white head. Little retention/some lace. Aroma of biscuit, caramel, wood, a bit floral. Taste is bitter, biscuit/caramel malts, some citrus/floral hop. Palate is slick, bitter finish.
