Growler. Pours amber with white head. Darker than dc/malt twin? Aroma has juicy fruit and citrusy hop notes, toffee sugar notes. Flavors has sweet cotton candy balanced by grapefruit and juicy fruit hop notes. Finishes like dc. Aggressive bitterness here but crystal malt is tasted reminds me of a drier SN torpedo and I’m not buying this is just daisy cutter malt bill with change of hops. Why is this so red? douglas88 (9418) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2011
Growler at RBWG, thanks! Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A sweet caramel and earthy hop nose. The flavor is similar; sweet earthy malts, toast, caramel and light citrus. Lots of citrus in the finish. Nice. Newk (299) - - JAN 8, 2012
poured from growler into a pint glass. Pours a nice dark orange color with a good head.
very nice hop aromas along with citrus and a touch of florals. Very good depth as well
Medium bodied with a real smooth feel and flavors of hops, spices, and some citrus.
This is lacking a slight bit in the flavors. it’s also very similar to daisy cutter, but a bit lighter. Sadly, it’s not as good as daisy cutter, but still a very nice beer dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 3, 2012
(growler sent for RBWG by jcnd9803). Pours a hazy copper color with off-white head. Plenty of citrus here to go with a nice malt backbone. Pretty tasty beer and a pleasure to share this at a great event. alexsdad06 (10471) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Sample from growler at RBWG ’11. Pours a hazy copper color with a small off white head. The aroma has citrus, caramel and toasted bread. The flavor is citrus, light herbal, caramel, toasted bread. Pretty decent for a light beer.

Dark orange pour at taproom. Smooth hoppy floral taste. Not overly hoppy. Good beer tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2013
Draft at Prohibition. Pours a cloudy orangish amber with thin off-white head. Notes of onion, citrus, burnt caramel, grapefruit and lemon. Pretty light body but a tasty sessionable beer. satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2011
growler card #2, punch #5 (and 6). aroma is giant tropical fruit, even more outright then daisy cutter, at times moves into gatorade or chewing gum territory it is so overwhelming, even a couple feet from your nose. lucky to have such a fresh specimen. appearance is near straw pour with big carb, lasting head. flavor is more controlled hops tempered with occasional bready malts. excellent brew but so similar to regular daisy cutter i wonder how many people could differentiate blindly. a bit of a disappointment to have a release of a second pale ale that is super similar to the former (and its parent) and also that both are well out of balance to be considered a decent APA anyways. that being said i have and will continue to drink them by the bucket. can at RBWG-thanks for this! copper hue with a small soapy head. big floral nose-green onions, citrus, melons. very balances session pale here-sweet with enough bitter hops to dry it out in the finish. i could drink this all day long! I need to seek this out when i get to IL (homestate). Look for another re-rate! alobar (3825) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2012
