UPDATED: NOV 13, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Very dark brown pour with a finger of beige foam. Modest earthy roasty chocolatey dark malts. Medium-bodied. Stout flavors reduced down to a chubby Porter. Cold coffee. Chocolate liquorice. Root beer. Burnt hazelnuts. Semi-glossy caramels. Faint hints of charcoal and tobacco. Not too sweet. Slight hop bite at the end. Well balanced. Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, puffed rice, coffee, hay, caramel, hints of chocolate. Taste is slightly dry roasted, dark malts, hay, paper, grass, puffed rice, coffee, burnt caramel, cocoa. Medium bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Boring.
Bomber to mug, the appearance was a fairly dark brown color close to black with a sturdy finger’s worth of white foamy head that died off at a mild pace.
Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some roastiness with a little bit of malted milk chocolate and a little bit of nuts.
The flavor copied the aroma pretty nice and bled into the aftertaste and finish as directed.
The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionable sort of smooth feel along my tongue. Some carbonation was felt but not distracting. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty nicely done porter that I could have again. NachlamSie (3641) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 14, 2017
Bomber, shared by friends. This looks like about right, pretty dark with a light tan head. The aroma is malty, mostly chocolatey. Not a ton of aggressive roastiness is present. Mouthfeel is creamy with low bitterness in the flavor. Tastes chocolatey, nutty, just smooth with lower astringency. It’s so well rounded and reminiscent of an old-school porter. Finishes pleasantly sweet with a tasteful roast.

Bottle, from brewery. Good aroma, sweet. Roasty, chocolaty. Coffee, Little earthy streak. Dark or any brown color, ok head and lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body, still creamy mouthfeel. Bitter sweet finish. Nice roasty porter, most enjoyable with flavor and finish. IMO. Nothing unique, but good to try AWISLguy (3530) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 20, 2016
