3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2013 Very solid, hoppy pale ale. Crisp, grassy hops linger with citrus notes and sweet, medium intensity malts. I would drink this as a go to beer.
Tap at Dive 75, W 75th St, New York. Pours slightly hazy gold to amber with a decent sized frothy/creamy whit to off-white head. Aroma is well hopped, with lots of tropical fruit and light citrus fruit, light caramel, flowers and a touch of vanilla. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Towards medium bodied, slightly oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. A very enjoyable APA. mrohia (271) - Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2017
Jake Melnick's Corner Tap, Chicago, IL, draft. Tastes and smells a little skunky or gasoliney or is that pine. Smells good. Looks light. Lotsa lacing. Crisp. Session. Pretty good, not life-changing. tjbiddle (7) - Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2017 Draft poured from Portillo’s in Chicago.
Right after pour, I thought this was an IPA. Very hoppy! After it sat, that has mellowed out and is now very light and easy to drink. Inbreak (6225) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JUL 25, 2017

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is leafs, forest floor, rubber, pine needles, lawn, hops, soil, bark, grain. Taste is kind of strange mineraly, leafs, pine needles, soil, light malts, grain, paper, lawn, moss, citrus peel, hops. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
A nice Hoppy beer that seems to be confused between a Pale Ale & IPA. A nice hoppiness with confused palet.

Average beer, slight unpleasant after taste. Color and carbonation were fine. Would not purchase again.

Punch-in-the-nose bitterness for an APA, but I won’t complain too much because this has a big body, resinous aroma, and waves of bitiness that make it a great partner to cheeseburgers on the grill. "Stand up and fight!" I say to beers such as this. And they do. GMac62 (2) - - JUL 4, 2017 does not count
The place we had it was dank but the beer was not to me. All in all a nice pale ale but tastes like Miller when I had it for a little longer.

Tap at the source during GLBTQ. 10oz pour. Lighter golden with a hint of orange. Lacing decent. White head. Nose is mostly pine with a little citrus soapy quality. Taste is mild with a hoppy pine characteristic. Bitterness takes over especially in the finish but not to its detriment. Overall feels straightforward but not disappointing. Can. Good clean aroma but not at all strong or hoppy. Above average appearance, hazy orange with tiny white ring of head. Really nice flavor without becoming a hop bomb. Citrusy and refreshing. Good amount of carbonation. Great summer beer!
