UPDATED: APR 2, 2016 Draft at Khyber Pass. Poured a slightly hazy orange gold in a dark bar. Slight off-white foam on top with a few splashes of disappearing lace. Blonde malts underlying, but definitely hop forward. Sharp clean citrus resin flavors. Notes of blood oranges, pink grapefruit, passionfruit, cactus fruit, aloe, pinecones, autumn leaves, mango skin, parsley, shortbread and Tabasco sauce. Spicy dry finish.

10 oz at the Map Room. Pours a clear orange with a big white head. Massive hop nose on this one. Heavy papaya and tangerine come out. Remarkably juicy and not dank. Not a lot of bitterness in the flavor considering the style, and with reasonable caramel balance. This is pretty new school but they let the crystal malt be known. It finishes dry with a medium body. Ultra juicy flavor the more I drink this one. It could be even better with a little more bite. Stellar modern IIPA.

The beer pours clear golden with a white head. The aroma has tropical fruit, heavy pineapple and rich malt. It has a medium/full body with some mild sharp carbonation. The taste starts with sweet caramel syrupy malt, funky hops, tropical fruits and light citrus. The finish is pretty sweet and more funk. Decent.

Fresh bottle grabbed at a half acre tap takeover at a local bottle shop last week. Served in a tulip. The beer pours a golden amber with a slight haze, and an in ch of white head that leaves nice lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is full of tropical and citrus fruit. Oranges, mangoes, grapefruit, and pine resin dominate. Sweet caramel is also present. Taste is juicy tropical fruits and lots of citrus. Orange, grapefruit, mango, and papaya hit hard in the beginning and throughout. There is also quite a bit of resiny pine and caramel flavors as well. The beer is very juicy and quenching with a slight dry finish. Outstanding.

Bottle @ home. Hazy dark orange color, medium to full sized white to off-white head. Aroma is lightly malts, hops, fruit hops, grapefruit, resin and pine. Taste malts, hops, grapefruit, sticky resinous hops, resin, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. A good full flavored resinous Imperial IPA. Very nice!

Love this beer. Only wish it was available more often. Much better on tap though a bottle is just fine. Thankful I know people who live close enough to pick up a couple bottles when I cant make it down for a growler before it sells out. Hoping this is produced more frequently with the expansion.

Bottle at the FF tasting at Pauls. Pours a light golden orange body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of citrus fruits, grapefruit, pine, light spice and some caramel malt. A bit more malty sweetness than I prefer, but still nice. Though this doesnt touch the Double Galaxy version.
