Generously retrieved, spotted, delivered, and divied by Mr. Bunker. Did someone say this was brewed with ginger? Mmkay. [A] Light papery malt. Not the focus point here. Hop aromas very strong with citrus. Juicy and aromatic more than astringent hoppy. I don’t get the mint, Joe. Maybe an herbal note. A pleasing quaff. [A] A slightly murky brown orange. No real head on a soft pour. Dash of white foam. Not much to look at. [F] Orange. Citrusy flavor come off as genuine fruitiness. Malt is a little cloying. Caramel. Sweet. Touch sugary. [P] Mouth is medium-light. Great bitter. Flavoring hops. Palate friendly. Not even an afterthought of booze. Easily drinkable. [O] The only negative issue I had with this beer is that I feel like I’ve drank it before. That its been done already. Like this ginger twin has an estranged clone. Like DeJa Vu. Which may be kind of ridiculous to say, after 100’s of beers of the same style. It was wholly satisfying. Sessionable. I’ll buy into the India Red ale. Seems fitting. But it didn’t wow me. Decent offer from Half Acre. Would love fresh tapped.
Bomber. Thanks to Justin. Solid nose of mixed citrus and pine, some toffee. Copper/brown color. Balanced sort of initial flavors, resiny hops, nice bit of tangy fruit before balance resumes, deep medium dark fruitiness. Medium body. Very flavorful and fairly balanced throughout. bomber. Orange-amber with a fine, thick head. Lemony hop nose, caramel, pine. Sweet malt flavor, good hops, pine and citrus. Solid old-school IPA. Niko100 (2969) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2015

Really interesting red appearance with a big fluffy head. Nice hoppy aroma. This is very good. ARH (1135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 6, 2014
On tap poured into a 5oz English tulip. The initial aroma is a roasted grain, kinda rye-like with a dry citrus peel and some toffee. The off-white head leaves a light retention as a ring around the edge of the glass and a light island of head in the middle. This sits atop a clear red-brown beer. An above average amount of layer-like lace is left down the glass. The taste is a nicely balanced medium malty sweetness and medium grainy bitterness. The medium body has lots of soft carbonation and goes down with a creamy texture. The finish is a bit of rye and a berry sweetness, and leaves behind a grainy aftertaste.

Another super hoppy re ale from half acre. Pours a deep red in color. Smells hoppy and has a bitter hoppy finish. Had at tap room.

9/03/2013: Half Acre Ginger Twin India Red Ale... Aroma: Sugary caramel malts. Appearance: Deep amber color; lofty light beige head. Flavor: Malty with caramel overtones; good hops - earthy, herbal; moderate bitterness. Palate: Medium-bodied; chewy texture. Overall: Very drinkable and quite good; although I enjoy the malty characteristic of a PacNW Style Red IPA, this one seems to be a touch too malty and as a result the hops get a bit lost. However, it’s still quite good. 22 fl. oz. bottle shared by dirhauge. Thanks Paul! Rating #70 for this beer. drfabulous (8224) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 22, 2013
22 ounce bottle from Binnys. Malty red ale with nice hop profile. Rich caramel. It’s been in my fridge for three weeks....but it’s still tasty. Awktoberfest (404) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2013
