It says it is coconut flavored but tasted nothing like it. Very full bodied and tasty beer. Very dark orange in color.

Hazy orange pour with a single finger head. Lots of coconut on the aroma and some passion fruit. Medium bodied. Taste is very interesting. Coconut is the main flavor, with lingering tropical fruits and a hint of raw bitter coconut. Stinging mouth feel, maybe a little over carbed. rxeight (3161) - Illinois, USA - JUL 16, 2015
Howler from half acre, aroma is lemon soap and citrus. Taste is all coconut. But not sweet like prop. Raw unsweetened coconut. Like coconut water or the meat inside. Touch of hops, not bitterness. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Draft at Half Acre. Pours a hazed orange gold with a white head. Nose is very faint suggestion of coconut but more just a straightforward citrus. APA and clean, toasty malt and a touch grainy. On tasting, subtle sweetness and tropical fruit notes, along with some oily qualities permeate. Not particularly interesting but not bad. kaser (6364) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2013
Draft at half acre. Golden pour. Frothy head. Mild wheat and hop taste. Runof the mill beer but enjoyable

Draft at brewery. The pour is like a golden ale. The aroma is really nothing. The taste you get the faintest of faint coconut. Not impressed.

Pint pour on tap at the tap room (Chicago, IL). A new entry happy to get away early on a Friday. Pours a deep glowing golden amber hue, touch of haze, fiery striking glow with some deep honey, amber, and gold. A touch of amber orange darkens it up a bit. Frothy offwhite head atop stays as a firmer layer, laces ok. Aromas are touches of melon, grass, and lemon. Gentle coconut, bready malts. A medium to decent hopping offers more fruit, melon, touch of gumball and tropical fruit. A touch more citrusy and floral as it warms, the coconut sweetens and adds a distinct element there. Mellow bready malts, more a fruity hop feel, though not powerful, that works with the coconut well. Initial is lighter end of the fold offering a moderate bitter hop element up front. Florals, grass, mellow lemony citrus with some weeds, earth. Touches of fruit, grainy malts, some bread and cereal elements in the middle meet up with the coconut some more. A touch sweet, but not thicker, still light with some firmer dryness, mellow carbonation on the palate. Cereal and coconut-y middle is a very breakfast cereal-y for me. Backend dries up a bit more, as the coconut seems to make the cereal element a bit more forward. Medium to decent bitterness as we finish up, more floral, touches of lemon. More earthy dry finish, but nothing in the strong or firm range. A touch sweet, that’s definitely coconut as we hit the middle and round the corner into the back. A unique beer, light in body and quite drinkable. I think it’s good but not quite for my tastes. The coconut and vanilla, cereal breakfast type element throws me off a bit into the middle and backend. Solid if more unique offering. Looks great. Decent bitterness and drinkability. hombrepalo (1971) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2013
At the taproom. The head was fairly small. It’s hazy and lighter in color than expected. Aroma and taste were of hops citrus, coconut and grapefruit. It’s thinner than some APAs. It’s a pleasant beer and would be a good session beer if desired. crossovert (13413) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 13, 2013
Heard mixed reviews on this. I like it. Medium hop bitterness plus tropical goodness. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 13, 2013
On tap at the source... Pours a more orange than brown coppery hue, mostly transparent with a smudge of haziness and topped with a thin film of soapy white head... Pineapple citrus soma with a mild degree of toasted coconut which is certainly noticeable and not entirely subtle. A bit of earth and grain on the backend... Flavors have more prominent coconut feature but not assertive in any manner. A bit of light pineapple and citrus follows next that meshes with the aforementioned coconut notes. An earthy mild bitterness peaks through late. Kind of enjoyed this.
