Bottle I took to Campground Brewdown 2015. Pours a hazed amber with a medium sized white head. Big citrus, malt. Medium-bodied, soft malt. Light bitterness, slow on the finish. Pailhead (6540) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - AUG 1, 2015
On tap: The aroma consists of light fruit earthy hops, and a touch of caramel. It’s a transparent amber with a small white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with a mild dose of fruit and a touch of caramel. The finish has light citrus hops with a touch of earthy/herbal notes. It’s light bodied with light carbonation. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 22, 2015
DRaft. Amber pour, super earthy characteristics here, but it just tastes like an amber ale. rxeight (3084) - Illinois, USA - JUL 17, 2015
Growler from source. Slight hops. Very grainy malt. Grass and hay. Malt heavy. Refreshing. Christpuncher (3135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2015
Malty with some hopps in the backbone. Has that unique half acre citrus flavor as well. Finished kind of spicy. Not a bad beer. Had at half acre

Draft pour at half acre taproom. White fluffy head. Juicy fruity citrus aroma. A fruity bomb. Not getting the "English" in it. Delicious. Tropical heaven. rdixon77 (2835) - Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2014
Catching up on weird really old ratings. I had this one and it stuck out in my head for the awesome bottle art and and for being a better than average earthy spicy ipa. Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Poured from bomber into Founders tulip snifter.
A: Pours a solid amber with purple hues throughout the middle and some slight reddish hues around the edges when held up to light. Nice 1 finger yellowed-white head with decent retention. Moderate patchy lacing.
S: Strong English malts bounce of your nose with some nice ripened fruits. Some oaky notes are present as well.
T: Nice bitter hops that distort into a smooth English malt dryness. Finishes with a nice woody sweetness.
M: Light to medium bodied with a dryness that overtakes the tongue and cheeks. Keeps drawing you back into quench the thirst and the taste leftover is very mellow and not dominated by any one flavor. Medium carbonation.
O: The is a solid English IPA, although there isn’t really anything special to distinguish it from others. The mouthfeel is great, but overall it is pretty normal for the type.

poured from can into a pint glass. Pours a dark orange/gold color with a small head.
Very good and balanced aromas of toffee, oranges, some citrus and a touch of hops. Good complexity but lacking some depth.
Medium bodied, but very clipped on the mid and finish. Balanced, but lacking some depth with flavors of toffee, caramel, hops and citrus flavors.
A solid English IPA. Balanced, but lacking some depth in both the aromas and flavors.

16oz can thanks to dvelcich on BA. Failed Beer Buddy upload. Pours a low haze amber orange with larger, yellow foam. Weak, soapy retention. Nos is sugar, malt, orange juice, juicy tropical hops. Taste is nutty, bitter, sharp/abrasive IBUs. Oily mouthfeel with spiced orange peel and perfume. Doesn’t come across as smoked if that was the point of this beer. Finish is metallic, soapy.
