COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the first time we’ve brought this out of its scabbard. We’ve never released a Double IPA - and this will make its debut at our 5th Anniversary Party on 5/17. Attacking your ability to make good choices, this bully quickly becomes your best friend.

Navaja is a Double IPA that changes each time we brew it, unless we don’t change it. This go-round is a little more aggressive. Heavy on Citra, Mosaic, and Columbus hops and Golden Promise malt; Navaja is a shredder rotating on all cylinders.

Scopey (16550) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2018
Keg at Beer Merchants. It pours clear orange with a medium bubbly white head. The aroma is fragrant, floral, touch of orange peel, tangerine, melon and apricot. The taste is dry, big hit of bitterness, pithy, zesty, soapy citrus, orange rind, peppery spice, hay, florals, tangerine, toasty grain, white bread and some alcohol heat with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I expected a bit more depth of flavour reallym decent enough, but no game changer.

Towey1989 (3538) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2018
Keg at Bottlecraft, Hanley. A hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of orange, passionfruit, papaya, some grapefruit, pine, slight onion, a little crackery malt and subtle herbal hops. Taste of orange, passionfruit, papaya, maybe peach, guava, some grapefruit, pine, slight onion, a little crackery malt and subtle herbal hops. A lingering, dry, slightly dank, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. A full flavoured DIPA, as you would expect from a 10% beer. Lots of tropical fruit and citrus flavours without been too sweet and bitter. Well balanced.

16 ounce can from Whole Foods on South Street in Phladelphia. Honey gold pour. Creamy white head. Tropical fruit nose. Big, bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Huge citrus hop palate. Notes of warming alcohol and resiny pine hops in finish. This was a great DIPA!

16floz can, COD: 04.20.2017, $4 for a single, poured into some kind of imperial pint glass. This beer is a beast. It appears hazy, light-orange and adorned with an off-white head. Smell is an amalgamation of tropical citrus fruits, and tastes bitterly so with an underlying sweetness too. I don’t usually go crazy for hyper hopped beers, but this tastebud ripper is worthwhile stuff. Definitely a double IPA, it’s not playing around.
