On tap at Half Acre. Pours clear pale golden yellow with white head. Aromas of grassy hops, bit of bready malt, and some citrus. Flavors of bitter grassy hops, some bread, citrus, and touch of earthy spice. Nicely hopped pils. Solid. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Yellow pour. Draft at tap room. Fluffy white head. Good pilsner aroma. Dry taste. Sort of bland. Not bad tho and would have again. Tried it after a big IPA so that probably didn't help drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Growler, pours clear straw yellow with white head. Aroma has a bright aroma, big white pepper and lime citrus, mild sweet bread notes. Really fresh and vibrant aromas. Flavors hold a fair amount of bitterness, touch boozey, sweet bread and bright lime and floral notes with spicy finish. Flavors could be a bit tighter as the sweet booze detracts but this is fresh and flavorful pils. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - OCT 21, 2012
Draft on tap at Bad Apple (Chicago, IL). Pours a pale mellow hazed straw yellow hue. Frothy white head stays as a mellow layer, laces small overall. Aromas are gentle yeast and bready malts. Grain, straw, grassy and floral hops give a medium slant, nice dryness, earth, gentle spice play well. Initial is lighter end of the fold, bigger earthy green hop presence preaches grass, earth, and florals. Firm bitterness, dandelions. Gentle bready and straw malts, grain, bready and dry. Middle is a bit bready, mellow citrusy lemon, touches of dryness coat into the backend and finish. Great fresh earthy pils, green lush hops, gentle crisp malts and dry finish. Nice. Really damn nice. Simple yet constructed so well, elements playing very well together. This and Zucker.. Half Acre should do more Pils offerings. envane (570) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 16, 2012
