UPDATED: DEC 8, 2009 Bottled (brewed at Sand Creek Brewing, WI) at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Mahogany colour, rich head. Cardboard aroma. Sweet fruity and well rounded. Mildly syrupy with primitive crystal malt covered in too thin layers of floral hops to hide the severe shortcomings. Light resiny bitterness. Pointless wishy-washy pseudo-micro showcasing only cardbaord and resin. madmitch76 (24360) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2013

Cloudy brown beer, little bubbly off white head. Slightly crisp palate. Malt and minerals. Trace amount of citrus. Dry finish. Deathly dull.
Draft. Murky brown color, massive thick cream colored head. Aroma of light pine and brown bread. Taste is Christmas fruitcake without the fruit. Not bad.

Deep ruby color, small beige head. Toffeish, caramelly aroma. Caramelly, some rye-bread, citrusy hops, late bitterness. Some kind of brown ale?
A: This beer pours a solid, dark amber color with a finger of off white head.
S: Starts off with a fairly strong nutty note. There’s a bit of citrus peel and a mild grapefruit aroma that seems kind of strange, but it works. Plenty of toast, mild roast, and lots of bready malts.
T: A more mild flavor than I was expecting. There is a lot of bread some toast and plenty of floral and earthy hops. Just a hint of citrus to go with the mild nutty malt note and molasses. A light bitterness on the back end.
M: The body is medium with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Drinkable, but it didn’t really blow me away. A decent beer. Tmoney99 (14365) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 30, 2011
Can shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid balanced aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium smooth sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid brew.

A lightly hazed dark amber ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, light sweet nutty malt with grassy hops, not bad. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light mineral notes, grassy hops, OK. On tap at brewery. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 6, 2011
