Half acre small animal big machine. 22oz bottle thanks to Andrew for sharing... Pours a deeper shade of cherrywood mahogony dark brown pour and topped with a thin light beige head quickly reducing and adhering towards the sides... Yeast and must upfront in the aroma follwed up with cherries and caramel maltiness. A touch tart all around but remains predominantly sweet... Yeast upfront with a semi-tart cherry presence, a little more so than the adjoining currants, alongside a big brooding earthiness that ultimately dries out in the finish. Not too sweet actually, earthy with a mild tartness. Not too big in body, creamy texture, and goes down easy. 7/4/7/4/14

Bottle. Reddish/brown pour with a huge off white head. GUSHER... Cherry, currant, and vanilla nose. Big currant, cherry and flanders style notes.

Bottle... Mostly clear dark mahogany ale with a huge, frothy, mushroom-colored head that diminishes to a small creamy cap an never entirely dissipates. The bouquet is an assortment of herbal roots and cocoa with hints of anise and sour cherries. Medium to full-bodied and very effervescent. The flavor is crisp and of tart currants and berries with a mild cocoa aspect. Finishes tangy and dry… nearly puckering. Gonna sit on my other bottle for a while. Bottle courtesy of the ever-generous 50belair!

Bottle shared by BA teamizm. Pours with massive lightly tan head over a murky brown body. Aromas of hugely estery, cherry, coughdrops, pear, vanilla, alcohol, almond and a bunch of dark fruits. Flavors are slightly tart, dry, cherries, styrofoam, brown sugar. Lots of esters, craisins, black cherries. Fusel, a bit hot, cotton candy. Medium to lively bubbles, warming and sticky. Not too pleasant for my tastes.

22 oz bottle. Clear cola with a sudsy beige head. Nose is cranberry, cherry, toffee and vanilla. Medium light with foamy, tongue tickling carb. Taste is cranberry skins, raspberry pits, sour cherry and bitters. Like a summery fruit cocktail. Refreshing without being girly sweet.

Bottle shared by Phaleslu. Thanks Peter. Pours cloudy Amber with a thin white head. Aroma has hints of funk, berries, oak and malts. Flavor is tart, a bit funky with hints of berries and currants. Overall a pretty good beer. Not sure what style there really trying for.

Pours a brown/burgundy with a thin white head and touch of red. Nose is subtle with some mild tart notes and slight toasted malt. Medium bodied and starts with elements of currants, slight brown sugar, toast and cranberry. Finishes with a tart cherry. A well-balanced beer and the brainchild of two great breweries. Keep an eye on Pipeworks in the future...good stuff.

Thanks for sharing Ethan. Pours a black cherry amber with a thick tan head. Nose of red fruits, spice, weird yeast. Flavor is similar--spicy, watery, and weird. Not all that fruity. It reminds me a lot of Fullsteam First Frost which was brewed with persimmons.

emacgee (4705) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JUL 12, 2011
Pours a deep rich ruby copper with two fingers of sandstone tan head. Nose shows cherry skins and sweet spices with a light dextrinous character. Lightly tart with lots of cherry and fruit skin character and some sweet notes. Light bodied and lightly acidic on the palate.

Secret santa box beer. Good looking beer - reddish-brown/amber color with a layer of tan foamy head. Aroma is tart cherries, raisin, vanilla, and some roasted malts. Flavor follows the aroma pretty closely, but with the cherries becoming much more prominent. While not overtly sour, there is a nice tartness to the finish
