Clear pale yellow. Well-retained creamy white foam. Serene aroma of spruce tips, lemon verbena (Tettnanger), pepper, and grassy pils malt. Underlying notes of celery seed, paper, popcorn, minerals and wax. Soft and plentiful carbonation. Refined bitterness is quick to be expressed, yet the hops soon reinforce the coarse herbality with commendable luster as they offer up supple lemony notes which range from fresh vibrant fleshiness to fuller and more-vibrant lemon balm. A quaff-beckoning airiness aligns nicely with the ghostlike pils malt which holds it down with a dainty but firm dryness. Not much in the way of texture or complexity from the grain, though it’s well-defined and snappily crackery and mostly free of huskiness. A bit of raw dough develops and exacerbates the bitterness which is semi-astringent, and a soapiness does obscure some of the delicatenesses. A salvaging smattering of zippy hop oils causes the tongue to smack, offsetting the soapiness and smothering some of the looming starchiness. Finishes beautifully attenuated and snappy with a spruce tip- and lemon verbena-charged bitterness amid a soft cushion of chewy haylike pils malt. A surprisingly sincere version. My chief complaint is that the Tettnanger obscures the finer and more-intriguing hop nuances in the aroma and that it’s tad soapy and celery seedy in the flavor department. Hats off to the brewers for using Hallertau Tradition in this. Although I’d love to see them bring the alcohol down a point, there’s a lot to hang their hat on with this.

Tallboy can. Poured a chill hazed thicker body of light gold under a smaller foamy white head. Aroma is a bit sweet, green grapes, paste, dough, bread crusts. Flavor is crisp hop flowers, crusts, dry grains husks. Bigger body for a pilsner, full mouthfeel with tight strong bubbly carbonation. Solid beer. seymour (2076) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - JUL 5, 2017
Sampled on draft at 2017 Lupulin Carnival in Union Station. Clear golden with white foam. Clean, crisp, grainy, nice noble hop balance. Light body, moderate carbonation, lasting bittersweet aftertaste finished dry. Very good. olsvammel (7256) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2017
Sample at MBCC 2017. Bready smell with herbal hops and hay. Similar taste. Clean and crisp. Refreshing. ads135 (4844) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 3, 2017
Much better than the standard pils. Transparent and gold, thick white head. Nice grassy hops with a pleasant bitter finish. Tried at Pequods during ASEH in 2017 with the Jayhawks.

Pour is a crystal clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is a real nice dry malt with a almost melon hop. Flavor is a nice bready malt with some mineral and lemon hop. Very straight forward clean and refreshing pils. jeremyh70 (1103) - Missouri, USA - APR 7, 2017
Pours clear light gold in color with one inch pillowy head. Taste is grassy hops, grain, and cracker. Medium light bodied, slightly bitter, with high carbonation. Nice and clean. Very nice Pilsner. AWISLguy (3224) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 2, 2017
16oz can from the disappearing Malt Shoppe. Yellow golden pour white head. Aroma has light fruits, light sweet malts, effervescence. Taste is lightly lemony, mildly fruity, with some sweet malts. Nose is enough better than the taste, with neither showing too well. Muddled flavors hurt it. Light bodied with no alcohol presence, the blend is ok but no better and the carbonation is constant. Finishes lightly fruity. Shrug? Expect the best of the style to be clean with one or two solid tastes. This does not qualify. 11.5 marcus (10466) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 22, 2017
On tap at Cap Tap. Pours clear gold with a nice white head and a faint floral aroma. There is a hearty pils flavor with a crisp slightly bitter finish. bhensonb (15489) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 21, 2017
Tap at Cap Tap. Pours light gold with a white head. Laces a bit. Aroma is lightly citrus. Med minus body. Flavor is bready and it seems to have citrus. I could mistake it for a kolsch. Decent drink.
