22oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Aroma is a rich, juicy, senuous tropical fruit, with the guava being noticeably separable and enjoyable. Just juicy and fresh. Pours a very clear mid-golden, with a whitish edge. At first I thought the texture of the beer was thin and astringent and that the amazing aroma feel flat and wasn’t carried, but as the beer opened this wasn’t true. Guava flesh holds through with high aromatic hops, a light bit of malt sugar, and then a graceful, leaf balancing hop bitterness. I still think I’d take an edge more chewy sweetness to the beer, but the combo of guava and hops is awesome.

Bomber courtesy of mattb83. Pours a nice, clean, golden orange with a small head. Wow! One hell of a nose! A big intense, fruity nose with notes of guava, grapefruit, oranges, ugli fruit, kiwi, yet having a big hop presence! Fucking awesome. Flavor is all fruit mentioned above with nice grassy notes and a solid, masked malt backbone. This is everything I like in an IPA x10. Juicy, fruity, bright, citrusy, slightly bitter, fantastic. I have a boner.

Pour is clear orange with a small white head. Really amazing aroma with loads of pine and citrus fruit. I’ve never had guava, so i imagine that this is what it tastes like with big pine and citrus hop flavors present as well. Fruity and slightly dry, bitter finish. Another fantastic beer from half acre! Thanks again JW!

A: Pours orangeish yellow with a very small head. No retention or lace. S: Guava for sure, light citrus, with hints of pale malt. T: There guava is there but I would not call it forward. Hints of grapefruit pale malts malts, and a bit of cracker. M: On the lighter side of medium, average carbonation. D: Not bad, solid, not great.

Bottle thanks to pantap. Pours with a clear golden body and a large white head. Aroma of ...wow...huge spicy hops with TONS of tropical fruit (guava obviously). This stuff is intense! Guava everywhere, with some butter-biscuit aromas as well. Restrained bitterness with a grainy mid palate and a tropical fruit/guava finish. Very dry, with some alcohol and candied ginger. Tasty, but not as good as it smells sadly. Dry and lively palate, some noticeable alcohol and creamy carbonation. Really a delicious and unique beer.

Bomber via trade. Pours a nice clear copper color with a lasting off-white head and some lacing. The aroma is - whoa - guava IN YO’ FACE! Big-time. Besides that, there’s some sweet caramel and Daisy Cutter (citrusy and herbal hops). The flavor is like a malted-up Daisy Cutter with metric shit-tons of guava. I believe the "1000 lbs of guava" claim. It is huge in this beer. Other than that, there are other fruity notes of orange, grapefruit, and mango, with sweet pale and caramel malts. Medium-bodied with average carbonation and mouthfeel for an IPA. Very unique beer overall. Really polarizing at the tasting I shared it at, but you can put me in the "like it" camp.

Huge, pure guava and pine bough aroma. I would have liked a little more sweetness and body in the beer - would have made it absolutely world-class. As is, the dry, lightly prickly flavor makes the beer pretty drinkable.

Courtesy of northernbrews. Dark golden, decent head. Aroma has great citrus fruit character up front. I guess it’s guava, I need to try one. Faint pine resin, not much malt in aroma. Flavor has a light malt character up front, big citrus fruits through the middle and back end. I’m guessing guava has a slight tart character to it? There is some mouth watering tartness in the finish I really like. Medium carbonation, soft billowy mouthfeel. Would really dig a higher level of carbonation to make this pop more, but very nice brew overall.

Bottle: The aroma has lots of citrus and grapefruit with guava and light mango. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small white head. The flavor starts with lots of citrus and light mango and guava. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit, light tartness, and faint pine. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

This could almost be considered a fruit beer. HUGE amounts of citrus in both the aroma and flavor. Guava (of course), but also mango, grapefruit, orange, lemon...you get the idea. Some subtle sweet notes in the background, but mostly a lot of citrus. I liked it...
