Bottle shared at the September 2010 Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a clear amber with minimal near white head that dissipated completely, quickly. Aroma had a nice combination of strong pine with supporting guava. Flavor clashed more as the pine and guava did not really work together. There was also a bit of a cereal backbone. sebletitje (10477) - Enghien, BELGIUM - SEP 26, 2010

Light gold pour with a small, loose, off-white head. Pungeont tropical fruit aroma with a hinis of peppery phenol. The flavor is a big mess. Strange, medicinal flavors clash with and off, vegetal, fruit and overly cloying malt. It comes off harsh and very sharp. Sticky, medium body with lots of carbonation. Draught at Piece. Clear gold with a white head. Nice guava aroma with a background of fruity hops. Lots of tangy guava in the flavor and a simple and light malt profile. Hops provide a medium bitterness. Very much leaning on the fruit side and less on IPA, though the influence is obvious. Definitely a unique creation. dmac (6574) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - SEP 15, 2010
22 oz bomber thrown in as an extra via my last trade with FlssmrBrewAlum, thanks bro. Poured a clear gld body with gently rising carbonation and an average white foamy head. Aroma was so fruity and fresh, to me this smelled like a fresh strawberry daiquari all the way....ad in some mango, apricot, and grassy hops. The palate on this one was odd, full bodied...strong carbonation and a dry finish on an IPA? Flavor is fruity up front with strawbery and guava followed by dry hop cones and earth notes. Very fruity and very nice.

A: The pour is a translucent orange color with a somewhat short lived white head.
S: A really nice nose on this beer. Grapefruit forward hops with the guava kind of sneaking up on you providing a slight tartness. Underneath, some light malts provide a base.
T: Some really great guava flavor hits you immediately. The fruit provides a slightly sour flavor that for whatever reason works great with the grapefruit flavor from the hopping. Not really any room for the malt to come through.
M: The body is on the light end of medium with a lively carbonation.
D: The fruit really takes over this beer, and while I might not always enjoy that, I think it works really well here. The guava is a nice addition and I hope these guys keep making this beer. auerbrau (3206) - Ithaca, New York, USA - SEP 11, 2010
22oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Aroma is a rich, juicy, senuous tropical fruit, with the guava being noticeably separable and enjoyable. Just juicy and fresh. Pours a very clear mid-golden, with a whitish edge. At first I thought the texture of the beer was thin and astringent and that the amazing aroma feel flat and wasn’t carried, but as the beer opened this wasn’t true. Guava flesh holds through with high aromatic hops, a light bit of malt sugar, and then a graceful, leaf balancing hop bitterness. I still think I’d take an edge more chewy sweetness to the beer, but the combo of guava and hops is awesome. mtjoseph (244) - Murderapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 7, 2010
Bomber courtesy of mattb83. Pours a nice, clean, golden orange with a small head. Wow! One hell of a nose! A big intense, fruity nose with notes of guava, grapefruit, oranges, ugli fruit, kiwi, yet having a big hop presence! Fucking awesome. Flavor is all fruit mentioned above with nice grassy notes and a solid, masked malt backbone. This is everything I like in an IPA x10. Juicy, fruity, bright, citrusy, slightly bitter, fantastic. I have a boner. mattyb83 (737) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 7, 2010
Pour is clear orange with a small white head. Really amazing aroma with loads of pine and citrus fruit. I’ve never had guava, so i imagine that this is what it tastes like with big pine and citrus hop flavors present as well. Fruity and slightly dry, bitter finish. Another fantastic beer from half acre! Thanks again JW! MeadMe (1694) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - SEP 4, 2010
A: Pours orangeish yellow with a very small head. No retention or lace.
S: Guava for sure, light citrus, with hints of pale malt.
T: There guava is there but I would not call it forward. Hints of grapefruit pale malts malts, and a bit of cracker.
M: On the lighter side of medium, average carbonation.
D: Not bad, solid, not great.
