3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[A] Hops. Very pleasant aroma. My girlfriend says guava upfront, but I’m just not getting it. Caramel and pale malts, wheat detectable. [A] Clear amber/golden pour. Not very lively in glass. [F] More great hop flavor. Again with the maltiness. Fruitiness shows toward midway/end. [P] Hop bitter is nice. Very light to mild bodied and easily drinkable. [O] I was expecting the guava to make this lean more toward a fruit beer, but it either blends well with the hops, or is quite an understatement in this brew. 1000 lbs wouldn’t make you think so. Admittedly, never tasted a guava. Not at all disappointed in the end. Glad Cutler & Short’s had a hand in this.
On tap at Ellyn’s Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL., dispensed to a pint glass displaying a clear & bright, golden tone, a presentable layer of soft white froth, with web-like lacing. The nose was resinous, citrusy, tropical hints, with noticeable guava, and slight malt sweetness. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was a nice balance of the aroma notes, plus citrusy, and lingering rind-like & earthy bitterness. Very drinkable for a 7% or 7%+ brew. A standout IPA. wlajwl (7211) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 20, 2017
Aroma is tropical/guava, fruit and complex hops. The flavor is tropical fruit/sweet guava, fruit malts and a spicy/hop/hop resin finish. PhillyCraft (8200) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 20, 2017
Can care of Bill, pours a clear orange with small head and lace. Aromas and flavor of heavy spice, guava, cedar, vegetals, dumpster, grass, and some incense sticks. Medium bodied with an aggressive close. No thanks edwardbass (865) - Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2017
Slightly murky golden yellow with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is lost on my crappy sinuses. Taste is tropical fruit, citrus, tiny bit of black pepper, with a well-balanced sweetness, not particularly bitter. Definitely can taste the wheat and some yeast, which detracts from it a bit. Very good IPA, but I don’t need to get another 4-pack of 16oz cans. DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2017
The other half of the 78 duality, as such. Pours copper with frothy, off-white head. Nose is resiny hops, black pepper, citrus. Tastes tart, very hoppy, resiny, ith heavy notes of cannabis. The guava in this tastes just like cannabis. And a Ba Ba Booey to y’all.

Can thanks to a Russell. Pours a hazy gold with medium off white head. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, dank, grapefruit, resin finish, very good. AWISLguy (3429) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 20, 2017
16oz can from Woodmans in Waukesha with a 6/19/2017 can date. IPA pour with little head. Aroma has pine and citrus, and light sweet fruits plus some toffee. Taste is of sweet fruits, some pineapple, some guava, and some chewy pine resin, all on a light toffee malt base with only occasional showings of the famous Half Acre yeast. Medium bodied with little alcohol presence, the blend is good and the carbonation is solid. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet. Solid and tasty. 13.8 IPAMeister7 (80) - - JUL 9, 2017

Pours a clear golden with a smaller white head. The aroma has a heavy guava impression, which is unusual. Its floral, with bread, lime, kiwi, and hints of resin. I don’t find much that is similar to this. The taste is more dry. It has a faint sweet touch to go along with a good bitterness. The guava is remains the main focus here. Complimenting the guava is wheat, kiwi, grass, grapefruit, and mild pine. No surprise is the long guava finish. Lighter in body, with a thin, sticky texture, and average in carbonation. Different, but pretty good. Just to note, my can says this is 7.5%. Ahuth (665) - Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2017
Can. Pours super clear. In my opinion perfect cold beer. The taste is a typical half acre IPA (not a bad thing I love them). Grapefruit and orangy. The aftertaste is where the guava hits. Such a great twist for a half acre beer. And the ween reference gives it perks
