COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Space, an India Pale Ale that we brewed a version of before, but under the name Daly Double. This beer is a tribute to a friend that passed away last year. Space was his nickname as a young man and this beer will be a regular offering at our brewery only; our way of keeping him a regular.

It’s with great honor and sadness that we announce an upcoming special release beer. We’re brewing The Daly Double, an India Pale Ale brewed in memoriam of a friend of Half Acre Beer Co.Terry Daly passed away suddenly after spending a lot of time at our brewery over the last few years. Terry was a fan of music, geometry, his two Huskies, Moon & Luna, and amply hopped craft beer. We’re pretty sure that Terry was the foremost consumer of Daisy Cutter Pale Ale. Terry began popping in to buy sixtels of Daisy and before long he stopped by almost everyday just to chew the fat. After a while, he had the authority to walk back into the brewery and go into the cold room to reserve himself kegs and manage his own kegerator inventory for his home Daisy Cutter supply. Being a bright dude, we put him to work wiring things or lending a hand doing whatever needed to be done. He’d turn others on to our beer and took pride in his connection to our brewery. All good breweries acquire people. These people become the larger body that is the meat of your brewing company. Not the tanks or the beers, but the heart of what we do. It has a pulse of its own and its one of the best things about brewing beer for a living. The Daly Double is for Terry and all the other folks that give breweries life . To Terry, Huzzah!

Delicious! Creamy head. Bright, amber color. Beautiful hop bouquet on the nose. Nicely balanced with a bright floral hop overtone and nice malt balance.

On tap at the brewery during Big Hugs day -- a very orange caramel colored pour. This has extremely aromatic hops that a juicy and flavorful with a zippy malt backing.

Pours a clear dark amber with a thick head from a growler from the brewpub. Aroma is bit sweet. Flavor is hoppy but not really roasted like it looks. Happy with this.

In a howler from the brewery. It is awesome to have this brew and this brewery just a short bike ride away from the house. A great whiff of citrus hops. Pours a orange golden hue with a white fluffy head that slowly disappears. A great balance of late citrus hops with sufficient malt to carry it off. The palate is just right...not too dry or too cloying. Not just a dependable IPA, but one that you look forward to.

Growler from half acre. Orange and tan appearance, not much head. Hop and resin strong flavor. This is great.

Draft at Jerry’s. Dark, hazy amber with big, foamy, off-white head / Bright nose of fresh cut pine, weed, brown sugar, and citrus / Light to medium body, a touch watery, some chewiness and sweetness, with fine balance and moderately bitter finish / Flavors of fresh cut pine, caramel, grapefruit, and bread / Flavors and body don’t quite match the exquisite nose, but still darn good.

Yo, this IPA is from outer space. Yep. That damn good. Crazy beautiful golden brown pour with hues of birch, lemon, etc. Super interesting hop flavors swirl about in your mouth and take you for liftoff. From one of the most consistent and best breweries in the Midwest, I enjoyed this out of a growler. Fresh from the source.

on draft at brewery, my favorite at the brewery this day. Tons of bright hop flavors and aromas. Lots of citrus and pine. Very aromatic. Awesome stuff.

Bottle thanks to Pawola22. Just a touch hazy, toffee colored, with a small white head. A small amount of lacing is present on the glass. I am relieved that there is no astringent honey aromas in this beer, and upon first smell I’m really excited to try it. Big, resinous hop character with orange and lemon really coming through. Fucking love the aroma. Some pineapple coming through as well, and I go absolutely crazy for pineapple. Taste contains more of the big hop character I was expecting from the aroma. Peach, orange, some pine, caramel malt to balance this out. Sweetness over bitterness. I don’t really ever find this beer to become bitter. Excellently ballanced. It’s lighter bodied that I had anticipated from the aroma, but that really isn’t a knock as it is something I want to drink more of every day. Thanks for the beer pawola22!! Now, to post an ISO.
