4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Half Acre, from my March 2013 notes. I see I didn’t have a lot to say about this, even though I was clearly impressed based on the numbers I wrote down. Basically, it was a typical small brewer’s big IPA. The nose brought me big pine and citrus, and then on the tongue, i feel more of that big hoppy pine note. The lacy foam gets into my mouth too, and helps deliver more pinpricks of hoppy goodness. If you had it, you know what I mean. I have another beer on my page of notes below this one, which rated slightly lower, so it’s not just the cumulative effect of my many tasters.
Tap at the source during GLBTQ. 10oz pour. Deeper orange hue than you see with traditional IPAs. Nice off white head and lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits and maybe a hint of pine. Taste is on the sweeter end of the spectrum with a grapefruit and pineapple quality. Surprisingly easy to drink without pushing the scale too much in either bitter or sweet direction. This is the only thing I like about the concept of space...using it to name beers. ctipping (2202) - Florida, USA - JUN 28, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange. Smells of citrus and a little pine. Touch of caramel malt. Tastes citrusy. Orange and grapefruit behind it. Bready and toasty malt. Mild bitterness. Medium body. Very good, but not my favorite of their offerings. SG111 (1981) - New York, USA - JUN 23, 2017

A very good IPA. Malt forward. Thick bread flavor and a nice hop burn. Tropical fruit blends into the malty background. Tried with Brandon at the brewery in 2017. Niko100 (2985) - Chicago, New York, USA - DEC 29, 2016

Sample at the brewpub. Hazy amber-orange pour with a medium bone white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall. dwyerpg (6378) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 12, 2016
A floral aroma that is quite nice. This IPA is much fruitier and lighter in body than the Vallejo. Still has good bitterness in the back end. Ahuth (648) - Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2016
Draft. Amber copper. Has a nice hop taste. A mango dry piney taste. Has a orangey mango taste. Not a typical IPA. This is excellent. j12601 (13034) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 27, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours a relatively clear orange amber with a medium sized beige head. Gentle earthy citrus on the nose, thick malty background. Medium bodied, soft malt and a nice soft grapefruit note. Gentle grapefruit and citrus into the finish, a hint of alcohol peeks out at the end. Hazy orange. Mango aroma but it’s very light. Boozy, bitter, medicinal and astringent. Pune needle intensity. Lingering bitter finish
