The aroma is a very potent, fresh grapefruit with a light toffee undertone. The beer is a murky, dull orange-yellow hue with a soapy white head that laces well and retains a moderately light ring. The taste is a medium bitter with a supporting, medium sweetness. The beer is oily with a fizzy carbonation and a medium fruity body. The beer is bitter up front with fresh grapefruit and caramel, as well as bread crust. It finishes zestier, with a brighter grapefruit and a grass character.

Bright yellowisj orange draft pour at Whole Foods. White head. Tangy fruity citrus and tropical flavors. Tasty Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - DEC 19, 2016
Sample at the brewery, great light pale ale. Aroma is all citrus hops, body is light, light sweetness, finish is hop flavor over hop bitterness. NICE.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2016 Draft at Bru Craft. Murky orange gold pour with solid white foam that left nice thick splashes of lace. Maltier than expected but still well hopped. Notes of fresh clementine, pineapple, mango, shortbread, lemongrass, thyme, ginger, green peppercorns and fresh pinecones. Juicy and oddly creamy body. Smooth finish with a moderately bitter numbing aftertaste. Well crafted. jgb9348 (6482) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Super pale golden coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of fresh grassy hops with a pungent herbal malt kick and some light alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop flavour with some small malt kicks and a touch of sugar near the end, but fairly simple and easy-to-drink without a big complexity at all. Aftertaste shows a touch of herbs along with the hops and a touch of perfume in the flavour as well. Overall, a nice APA with a good kick from the hops, but not assertive nor pungent at all. Good to try, and well recommended if you can find this as easily as I did. I sampled this twenty ounce pint on draught at Portillo’s in Chicago, Illinois while eating some of the best hot dogs in the city on 14-November-2015 for US$5,00.

Tap. Pours mostly clear gold, white head. Some retention/good lace. Aroma is grassy/tropical/citrus hop, dough, earth. Taste is bitter, tropical/grassy, light malt sweetness. Palate is lightly oily, creamy, bitter finish. Really nice. Christpuncher (3251) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2015
Pours orange with a thin white head. Flavor is hoppy, with that signature half acre flavor. Nice malt backbone. Had a draft pours at half acre. One of their best pales.

On tap, poured into an 8oz tulip. The aroma is a very potent, fresh grapefruit with a light toffee undertone. The beer is oily with a fizzy carbonation and a medium fruity body. The beer is bitter up front with fresh grapefruit and caramel, as well as bread crust. 22 oz. bottle via trade. Pours a slightly hazy orange golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is grassy, juicy citrus with oranges and clementines, and doughy bread. The flavor has more juicy citrus with the focus being oranges and clementines, grassy, and biscuity malts. Easy to drink and would serve as a tasty alternative on a summer day. cfrancis (3574) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2012
Thanks to Matt for this. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a thin white top and good lacing. Aroma is thick grapefruit hops and grains. Taste is a blast of grapefruit and citrus hops.
