Pours a slightly cloudy yellow color with a big, soapy white head. Plenty of citrus and floral hop notes with only a subtle bread/malt aroma. Pretty simple aroma, but quite nice. The flavor has lots of citrus flavor and a bit of floral character with a soft but sufficient bitterness. A light malt sweetness in the background. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a hazy orange color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

22 oz. bottle via trade. Pours a slightly hazy orange golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is grassy, juicy citrus with oranges and clementines, and doughy bread. The flavor has more juicy citrus with the focus being oranges and clementines, grassy, and biscuity malts. Easy to drink and would serve as a tasty alternative on a summer day. phaleslu (10893) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Draft sample. Pours a cloudy, deep, orange-hued gold with a small eggshell white head. Aroma starts with a ton of tropical and citrus fruits- melon, peach, mango, orange- then some clearer citrusy and herbal hops. Flavor of citrusy hops, crackers, pale malts, and other dry grains. Light-bodied, with medium crisp carbonation and a really dry mouthfeel, especially late and in the finish. Really nice APA but it’d be better if the flavor could maintain the initial rich, juicy promise of the aroma. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Growler shared by Drew. Thanks! Pours a well hazed near murky dulled golden amber hue. A frothy loose brighter white head, dies to a film and laces ok. Aromas are lemons and grapefruit, florals and grass, a vibrant fruity nose with some pale malts, oranges, and nice florals. Initial is light bodied, a bit clean, with lemons and grass, bready malts, gets a touch watery. Middle throws some oranges, light malt body, touches of dry florals and lemon, light citrusy hops mesh into oranges. Finish is light dryness, faint crisp cereal and bready malts. Ok. Quite drinkable, but definitely lacks complexity, becoming a one trick pony of sorts. But, I’d say this might be better overall than the other.. Less flavorful, but enjoyable and a true sessioner. A bit bland, I’d prefer Daisy Cutter to this almost every time. Seems a strange offering..

This poured a dark yellow to orange color with an off white head. Aroma was lots and lots of citrus and piney notes, not really much else. Flavor was just straight fruity hops, hardly any maltyness at all, but not very bitter either. A perfect example of hop flavor vs. hop bitterness. jgb9348 (6581) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Super pale golden coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of fresh grassy hops with a pungent herbal malt kick and some light alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop flavour with some small malt kicks and a touch of sugar near the end, but fairly simple and easy-to-drink without a big complexity at all. Aftertaste shows a touch of herbs along with the hops and a touch of perfume in the flavour as well. Overall, a nice APA with a good kick from the hops, but not assertive nor pungent at all. Good to try, and well recommended if you can find this as easily as I did. I sampled this twenty ounce pint on draught at Portillo’s in Chicago, Illinois while eating some of the best hot dogs in the city on 14-November-2015 for US$5,00. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 1, 2017

Sample at the brewery, great light pale ale. Aroma is all citrus hops, body is light, light sweetness, finish is hop flavor over hop bitterness. NICE.

Growler from the brewery. It’s puzzling that Half Acre came out with a "summer beer" in October, however it was 80 degrees today so I guess it was fitting. This beer pours a hazy orange amber with medium white head. It looks nice and fits the summer theme. Big hoppy aroma, with nice floral and piney hop notes. Behind the hops I also get some fruity juicy mango and tropical fruit notes. Flavor is bitter, hoppy, and crisp. In additon to pine and citrus, I get a lot of mango and tangerine. I’m a big fan of the balance between the bitter, the fruity notes, and the bready/crackery malts. This is crisp, refreshing, and very easy to drink. Excellent pale ale.
