had a draft pour at half acre taproom. pours gold in olor with a white head. bitter and very dry tasting. smells hoppy and has a hop kick. not one of their better beers.. drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2013
howler. pours pale straw gold with white head. aroma has grapefruit and resin. flavors are very clean and straightfoward, simple grapefruity pine and resin thing, very dry and simple malt base. well executed. nothing wrong with it at all. i like the lack of crystal malt and the straightfoward simple idea that’s well executed. Draft and a growler from the source. Pours a nice deep gold, hazed with a white head. Nose is citrus peel, lemon zest and some pine. Clean and light overall in terms of intensity. On tasting, medium bitterness and clean. Low hop flavor and malt. Just a classic and old school APA minus the crystal. Really nice stuff that is what I like. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2013

On tap at Half Acre, Clear golden straw color, thin white head, aroma of citrus and grain, similar taste, nice and light HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Growler from the half acre brewery. Pours a bright orang with a small white head. Aroma of herbal hops, citrus, and some tropical fruits. Flavor is nice, dry, lots of herbal and citrus hops, some pine, it’s smooth, crisp and dry. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Finishes grassy and hoppy. Good beer. Draft on tap at the tap room (Chicago, IL). Pours a more vibrant cornfield gold, subtle haze, healthy summer golden glow throughout. A small frothy bright white head dies to a film, laces small. Aromas throw some florals, grass, gentle fruity quality. Touch of citrus, mellow bready malt, straw, and gentle florals. Bit of bread dough, spice, leaves this nose a little more bland overall for me. Initial is lighter end of the fold, mellow clean bitter hopping that faint "pizza spice" or catty hop feel hits me. A bit dank. Gentle spice, bready malt, straw. Middle picks up some more bitterness, lemon and weeds, a spiciness or catty quality to the hops. Danker earthy bittterness is medium in strenth, some grainy raw malt, straw, more dry and cereal in nature. More earthy, bitter florals with that dank and catty feel keep on. Mellow fruit, lemon, dough and cereal grains keep going as we round the corner. Bready, a bit more clean and dry as we pick up front there. Finish is dry, a firm bitterness. At 4.5%, it’s pretty solid. It takes some time for me to warm up for it, the hops knock me a bit out of my element. But then I got used to that profile. Not bad. pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 26, 2013
On tap at the source... Pours a hazy lemony pale cider hue, consistent throughout, and topped with a thin frothy white head... Aroma of herbal lemony citrus accents upfront, light yeast, and backing grain. Not too distinctive, middle if the road... Flavors of lemony citrus and earthy herbal qualities. Pale grain backing. Easily shy of medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Nice and easy going but nothing too distinct.
