A single hopped snake juice showcasing the Mosaic hop, a plant throwing off a cornucopia of fruit flavored. Bitter sweet and full of force, this IPA bends your brain into a tropical storm of writhing glory. DrnkMcDermott (3108) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAR 18, 2013
$3 taster at Half Acre’s tap room. Dark brown color, a bit hazy, with a thin head. Big buttload of what I thought were Amarillo hops, more fool me. Piney in the main, but allowing some tropical fruit to to appear too. In fact, with the malt added in, the big hop comes in almost like a fruity candy. Yes, very sweet, and too rich. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 2, 2013
Draught at Mikkleer Bar, Copenhagen. Hazy copper/dark orange beer with a rich lasting beige/yellowish head. Very nice fruity hop aroma, citrus, grapes, hay, pine apples, mango, pine needles, pears, some hay, woody notes. Hoppy floral flavor, grassy, pine needles, citrus, herbal notes, woody, some grapefruit. Hugely refreshing! kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2014
Grapefruit and apricot taste. Candy sweet backbone. Smell is orange vanilla and tropical. This is my wheelhouse beer. Fantastic. Dunt (316) - Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Sampled on tap at the draft room. I haven’t been here yet and haven’t found much reason to come, this is the first beer in a long time I’ve been excited to try from Half Acre. Pours a rather dark brownish orange in color with a fingers worthy of creamy off-white head. Nose is pretty juicy, especially on the grapefruit and white grape front. There is also a fair amount of floral notes to it, but citrus is the main theme here. Citrus, melon, grapefruit, and white grape headline the flavor profile. It’s very clean and crisp with only light lingering bitterness. Light to moderate mouthfeel, good carbonation, soft bitterness, and a moderate finish. Yes! Finally another beer from HA I can get behind! Really nice example of a single hop IPA, would love to see them explore this territory some more. New Zealand hops rule!

Enjoyed on tap at Half Acre. Served in a pint glass.
A: Pours a dark amber color with some yellowish highlights. Soapy lace is left down the glass.
S: Nice burst of tropical fruits. Mainly pineapple and mango with a some mild dankness to it. Light sweetness from the malts. Touch of caramel.
T: The taste is much more vibrant than the nose. Juicy pineapple, dank resin with a touch of bitter pine on the finish. The malt bill is slightly sweet, reminiscent of sugar cookies.
M: Medium high carbonation, a little prickly in nature, with a medium light body. So much flavor packed into this beer.
O: Delicious. I could drink pint upon pint of this. Very well balanced and highly drinkable.

Amber hazy. One finger foam. Passionfruit, tropical. citrus notes. Resin flavours. Quit salty.Low bitterness for a 3F. Medium body. Fine intense aroma/flavour hoppy brew.
2014 bottle purchased form the brewery. Deep red pour decent head. Smell is hlf acre yeast and pine, some pinesol and lemon, bit of tropical notes. Flavor has a light bit of specialty malt which is caramally and toasty it has flavors of tangerine and pine, with a pervasive finishing bitterness. So many Mosaic hopped beers coming out, maybe the crop was good. Also wanted to say that the bottle cap on this beer is impressive. Christpuncher (3135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2014

Taste is a mix of pineapple, mango, some orange into a bit of yeast, bread, slight grapefruit, finishing bitter. Tasty.
