Bomber bought on release date because growlers and samples were not available. [A] Sweet and lagery. Bread. Light fruity esters. Touch of alcohol saturates the nostrils, without becoming astringent. Honey. Grassiness. [A] Pours oily looking into glass. Golden body. Only a slight haze. With something yolky suspended in my glass. White head. Very few bubbles rising. [F] Light malty flavors. Cracker mostly. Sweet. Dominant grassy taste. [P] Thin to medium bodied. Not much carbonation. No heavy booze. Something 3F has touched that ISN’T hopped to hell. [O] For the $9 this bomber cost, in hindsight, its something I wouldn’t have minded passing up. Had to try the newest local collabo though. It was just so-so in my book.
Tasting at Papsø’sPhillyCraft (8201) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Cloudy orange-golden color, small head. Grainy aroma, some honey. Sweetish and malty flavor, some cereals and grains, with ordinary bitterness. As Bock, not bad.
Bottle, pours a clearish orange color with thin white head and lacing. Aromas of sweet fruit, bready malts, spice, and honey. Taste is earthy hops with tons of toasty malts and citrus fruit. Good beer but was too sweet for me. JoeM500 (1909) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - APR 22, 2012
Very thin with a nose that reminded me of my simple flour/yeast/honey pizza cruse as it rises. That dough comes through in the flavor as well, with some added hints of grassiness and even a touch of mango.
#### an older (and unwisely aged) bottle tasted like an iced tea/lemonade mixture (ala arnold palmer), but wasn’t used for this rating. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 25, 2011
