Found this half full on the tasting table before the sexual chocolate release. Dark cola brown colored pour with a few bubbles and a rim around the glass for a head. Aroma of nutella, chocolate, peanut butter. A bit of roast, caramel and toffee. A hint of maple syrup. Flavor is strong with bitter roast up front. The healthy dose of aromatic malts were not enough to make me seek this one out again. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - FEB 4, 2011
22oz bottle, thanks Ben. Dark jammy dried fruit, raisins, leather, touch of tobacco, good amount of residual sugar. Tight carbonation, decent body feel...not overly thick. Sweet figgy flavors up front, tobacco and leather, brown sugar, drier in the finish and the 12% is pretty well hidden. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - FEB 4, 2011
thanks ben! christmas cookie. brown sugar, ginger snap. mousey mahogany. sharp alcohol, leathery and some raspberry. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Nose of strongly roasted malts some darker fruit notes, earthy hops, toasted nuts. A seriously robust brown ale nose without too much sweeetness, alcohol is present but adds nicely to the aroma. Pours brown with nice reddish underlying notes. Not much head or lace. Sweet with roast, chocolate, residual sugar, some fruity sweetness, dry roasty finish. Nice hop bitterness - earthy light fruit. Balanced with only light alcohol for 12percent. I like it.

Shared at the Nashville Beer Summit. Sweet bourbon and cinnamon nose, flavor is malty warm and meaty. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 23, 2011
Shared at Nashville Beer Summit 1.0. Pours brown with a tan head. Nutty and alcohol nose. Medium bodied, with a slight oily texture. Flavor of cocoa and nutty malts, countered by some moderate herbal and spicy hops. Dry and warming finish, with some tannins peeking through. Brown ale on mega steroids. A sipper for sure, but lacks a wow factor. User29624 (1683) - - JAN 17, 2011

Thanks to NBondi for the bottle. Deep brown pour with a thick tan head. Chocolate, toffee and citrus hop aroma. Taste is toffee, chocolate taste with a nice chewy body. Alcohol bite peaks through. Thick and intense, a nice winter warmer. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2011
