Vallejo, an India Pale Ale we brewed with coastal spirit. This 6.7% hop crasher sharply dives into the very deep waters of bitter beers.

Can shared in London - big thanks to Tipple. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white topping. The nose holds dry, pithy citrus, pine needles. Light sweet flavour with semi-ripe citrus fruits, mellow rindy bitterness, pale bread crust. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Finishes with some hoppy burps, more tangerine, pale bread, bitter pine needles. Not bad overall.

Piana opada dość szybko. Aromat mocno cytrusowy, trochę tropikalny, nieco zielonego chmielu. W smaku przyjemnie wytrawne, cytrusowe, grejpfrutowe, trochę melona też się znajdzie. Grejpfrutowa goryczka. Rześkie i super pijalne, klasa.

Tallboy can from Sendik’s Marquette. Hazy pale orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, pale malt. The taste is pine, resin, lime, grapefruit, pith, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

My Bottom Line:
This smashing IPA blends tropical fruit and piney resins over a slender honeyed cereal base, paving the way for a lengthy green peppercorn bitterness and aftertaste.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty blond.
-Effervescence is soft enough to allow for great drinkability.
-Pineapple and mango aromas abound.
-Body feels drier than most West Coast and NE IPAs.

Bottle.

16 oz. can pours a slightly hazy golden color with moderate white head and not very much lacing. Aroma has floral hops with touches of coconut, pineapple, and mango. Taste is bitter with slight caramel sweetness in the middle before a fairly long and slightly dank, dry finish. Body is light to medium with average carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Another decent local IPA in a crowded field. It has the look and feel of a pilsener but the taste of an IPA. I wonder if this would be more memorable if it were marketed as something other than an IPA.
