32 oz. growler from the tap room. Pours a nice, orangish color with an off white head. Aroma of pine and passionfruit, some mango and melon, touches of citrus rind. Some sweet malt peeking through from behind the hops. Flavor is quite bitter, with mild malt sweetness attempting but ultimately failing to balance things out. Lots of piney, resinous, and citrus bitter hops, some tropical fruit sweetness. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, finishes nice and bitter. crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 27, 2013
32 oz grolwer, consumed the day after filling. A really nice dipa with plenty of nice chinook and amarillo character. brian60625 (746) - Illinois, USA - OCT 23, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2013 5 ouncer at the Half Acre tap room. Tangerine gumball aroma. Bright orange with thin white foam on top. Fresh cut fruit flavor and some mellow Star Burst sweetness. I really liked the hop flavor profile here. Fairly light bodied, moderate carbonation, durable flavor. Overall a nice and memorable hop presentation that I’d gladly order in a big glass next time. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Howler, pours amber with white head. Aroma has a big mosaic hop character - really fruity, there’s some rugged pine and grapefruit as well. Some toasty and sweet malt notes peep through. Flavors continue being really fruity, piney/sprucy, melons, tangerine, and bubblegum. Malt bill has some nice toasty and nutty character with gentle caramel and raisin that really works with the hops. Malt bill reminds me of how i think alpha king used to taste. Little light on the bitterness which is rather smooth. Could use a bit more dry hops (I don’t like to smell malt in my ipas). One of the finer examples of a Midwest IPA as the sweetness isn’t cloying and actually works with the hop profile. drfabulous (8473) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Draught at taproom. Malty and hoppy IPA. Bit mosaic flavor in nose and taste. Very enjoyable.

Draft on tap at the Tap Room (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice deeper amber orange hue, gentle haze, some nicer orange gold glow on the bottom and edges. Frothy offwhite head atop stays as a decent filmy layer, good lacing and stick around. Aromas show fruity hops, citrus and a medium tropical fruit kick hit me, some gumball, oranges, and soap. Some florals, more fruity hop presence, touches of bread and gentle biscuity elements. Nothing overdone but certainly a good hop presence. Initial is medium bodied, throwing a good tropical and citrus fruit presence, mango meets some bubblegum, oranges, and papaya. Juicy fruit hops meet a distinct biscuity and toasty malt feel, bready, with medium bitterness, a touch of spice. Can definitely feel some toastiness beneath. Middle is a bit biscuity and toasty, meeting a firm hoppiness, bitter quality hits the palate, a bit clunky as it mixes with that toasty/biscuity/carmelized malt vibe. Backend is still fairly bitter and dry, a decent body, touches of warmth, carmelized malts. Bready and toasty mix with some decent fruit, melon and tropical fruit elements. Less citrus as we taper out. Firmer earthy bitterness meets that toastiness into the finish, some spice, carmelized biscuit and a firm hopping linger. Definitely a little different than usual, that maltbody keeps you on your toes but offers a little more than the typical sweet caramel monotone feel you get with a lot of IPAs. Perhaps that ABV tag is a tad high for me though. Solid. Pretty great nose. Flavors are solid, provide an interesting clash of interests. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Growler from the brewery. Light grapefruit and hops. Super smooth with a balanced finish. kaser (6366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Draft at half acre taproom. Dark orange pour. Floral citrus and perfectness. Love it. Comparable to zombie dust if I may! NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Draft at half acre. Pours a deep near copper, filmy head. Nose is bright cantaloupe and tropical fruit. Hint of earthy malt. Hop forward for sure. On tasting, moderately high bitterness and clean. No oily notes. Some woody hop notes and a bit of the tropical notes in flavor. Crisp and refreshing. A touch of caramel sweetness that actually works. Tangerines and fruit finish. Really nice beer here. jmgreenuk (9861) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 17, 2013
Tap at Half Acre Tap Room, Chicago. Poured a clear medium amber with a broken white head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt biscuit hop slightly liqourice palate. Very tasty.
