Draft art the brewery. Pours very dark with a thin, foamy head. Way too heavy on the chocolate and coffee for me. Novelty beer.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with some light red hues along the sides. Fingerís worth of tan foamy head that quickly dissipated to leave light messy sliding lace. The aroma had some coffee bean roast and sweetness. Light hazelnut, some bitter to sweet chocolate. The flavor was somewhat sweet with the bitterness making a good effort to try and balance somewhat nicely. Malty sweet aftertaste rolled right on into the finish fairly nice. The feel was between light and medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, nicely done brown ale that I could come back to if I could get it again.

Draft pour has a ruby highlight brown color with a tan head. Beer has big coffee, hazelnut, bitter sweet chocolate, and some bitterness into the finish. The additions are great but the base beer has a bit more work to be done.

Draft at brewery. Pours brown with white head. Nose and taste of fresh coffee, cocoa and toasted nuts. Medium body.

Strong chocolate and coffee malt aroma. Black color with a small tan head. Sweet beginning with alight bitter coffee finish.

Draft at Bradfordís in Stamford. Pours a nice dark brown with a pillowy, light and fluffy white head. On the watery side, this brew has a nice blend of chocolate, coffee, barley and sweet cigar notes. Pretty tasty and not too sweet, but my only complaint that there is a bit of a syrupy aftertaste.

Pours brown with an off white head. Smells of roasted coffee, some dark fruity hints, earthy. Taste yields some coffee notes, but limited chocolate with a spicy finish.
