Mahogany brown colour. Thick, syrupy texture. Has a warming spiciness and a background flavour of red wine or port. Carbonation is a bit rough but leaves a nice sweet stickiness on the lips. Ratman197 (14674) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 12, 2012
On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of plum, raisin, grape, oak and spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of plum, grape, spice, light carmel and light oak with a smooth lingering grape finish. monk191 (1959) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 3, 2012
A very unique beer. Pours a red brown color, with no head. Smells like wine, or port. Taste is very wine like, very sweet, and a little alcohol taste. Ends nice.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Barrel (somewhat funky barrel) and wine aroma with light fruit and light caramel. Malt and red wine flavor with light oak, and light yeast. Medium-plus bodied. Malt and red wine lingers with light yeast and light oak.
