65 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA via Winnipeg (thanks Dad!). Deep black colour, darker than average foamy head that clings up the side of the glass. Mix of whisky and roasted malt aroma, nice mellowness that culminates in a whisky infused aftertaste that’s sweet with just enough burn to feel it. garthicus (2942) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 3, 2010
Thanks to Jerc and Mabel. Appearance: Pitch black, small brown head. Aroma: Super whiskey nose, a lot of decent woody notes too with smoke and alcohol. Flavour: Lots of malt, liquorice, whiskey, alcohol and a long boozy dark chocolate finish. A nice winter warmer. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 1, 2010
Pours thick black with nice thick beige head. Potent aroma has lots of vanilla but also alcohol. Soft and creamy mouthfeel. Great fudge flavors, like vanilla/chocolate marble fudge. Long roasty finish. Delicious. hobbersr (690) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 28, 2010
Thanks to savvy1982 for the share! A very rare treat. Pours black with a large creamy head. Aroma is weak... Faint almost. Milk chocolate, vanilla and chalk on the nose with yeast (I’m almost positive 1056) and soft fruit under the roasty top notes. The flavor is big and roasty. Smoke, toasted oak, chocolate, a chewy rye flavor, under-ripe stone fruits, and vanilla. Big chewy mouth feel. Very tasty and I’m looking forward to see what a year or two will do to this one. blankboy (7788) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2010
Bottle [650ml] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Pours a very dark brown with an average size foamy tan head and nice lacing on the glass. Nice aroma is sweet and woody, with roasted malt, whiskey and chocolate. Flavour: Yum! The barrel-aging is nice, it’s not overdone and easy to drink. Roasted malt, chocolate, wood, leafy green hops and whiskey. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Loved it!

pours black as night with a tall brown head. Aroma is great big and malty with a very woody aroma and a very distinct rye smell. However the rye barrel is very prominent on the palate. This is a great stout big and malty with that strong oak flavour and distinctive rye sweetness.and a strong chocolate flavour in the finish. This is a very cool stout. zvikar (6349) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - MAR 6, 2010
